Dont expect some good audio quality output from this "engineered on the lap" thing. Its raw, glitched and uses cheap elements base without proper shielding. I spent hours trying to figure it out till i opened it to take a look at schematics. They didnt even clean all the flux on the PCB lol. Sound is washed out with cut off at low and mid frequencies, especially when you use those parasitic noise suppressors ( with transformers inside) to remove background hiss and buzz. Its made as cheap as possible and it sounds OKish for most but those ppl with good hearing can clearly notice lack of range and mediocre quality. No way to improve it, its been made that way.
Yes, once again, it makes me shout: "WHY, MERCEDES, DIDN'T YOU MARKET A PROPER UPGRADE, ALSO PRICEY?"
Anyway, I will try to use BT output, which should avoid the analog step, hopefully it will improve the situation.

It takes millions and years to develop this kind of stuff for the platform, its generational and manufacturers wont gna spend a dime or keep spare development team to work on updates for discontinued products, it will never pay back. So for us its either ching chong junk or new car. New features and technology are their incentive and leverage to push sales of new cars.
Navifly N8 pro owner here on a GLC MY 2018.
I always had poor quality from the Android device, connected through the standard Navifly AUX to USB box connected to the center console USB on the GLC.
the audio is kind of “closed”, low quality and dynamic range. Did not make any instrumental measurements, but it is pretty obvious when comparing any FM radio to the web-radio stream through the Navifly (the same stream is very good quality on an iPad or smartphone).
I read all the thread and I see some nice setups (curious about the Dragonfly connection), but I guess I may have some issue with the aux to usb box or (worse) the Navifly aux output.
I am looking for any suggestions to solve my issue and, in particular, for some high quality aux to usb box compatible with the GLC .
thanks
I can't speak for the N8 pro screen, but I plugged my Dragonfly red DAC into the screens usb, set android volume to 100% (in settings) and connect to the usb aux box.
I then played songs from Tidal and the audio sounded just as good as using OEM Bluetooth with my Fiio M11. I compared them.
I mostly just use my Fiio M11 + Tidal (master quality downloads) + OEM BT.
When using the Tidal app on the 12 inch Android screen the tidal menu buttons are not visible, making proper music navigation impossible.
Also, when you restart the screen the volume goes back to default (low volume) and you have to set it back to 100% each time.
**There are workarounds for that in the forums and also the latest updates now include a setting to control it.

Serge is right on the headunits cutting corners on their soundboard as well as weak "updates" on its audio drivers.
Get yourself a decent digital audio converter,
good 3.5 mm cable, and subscription to tidal or Amazon music hd. If your phone doesn't have a headphone jack, buy branded Samsung or Apple USB-c headset jack adapter.
Isn't it under UI Configuration in Factory settings? Password is usually 1314 to access it.
Not for my model for the NTG options.. I found out from the seller (Navifly) that for my model, in the top blank section of settings, tap the empty area three times to bring up the 'hidden' menu where I was able to select the NTG resolution options.
Nothing of any real note to post but big thanks to benzdude for showing his install, convinced me to bite the bullet. Working perfectly after an hours tweaking:
Hi all, I just bought the N600 Plus by Navifly for my Mercedes W205.
Everything is working fine except the sound. Sound is only working in NTG Menu but issn't working at the android side.
anyone know how to fix this? if yes help me please.

The result was defective.
I sent it back twice and finally received the normal one.
If you have the same symptoms, have them replaced with normal ones.

hello gibi,
i have the same headunit as you and also the same audio problem. have you already found a solution to this problem?
Hello!
I have a problem with Navifly N8 (GLC 250d, 2018) of the following nature:
After a long idle time of the car, when it is turned on, a blurred image appears on the Navifly screen, then stripes, and after 2 minutes the image is normalized.
This happens if you immediately turn on the car. If you first remove from the alarm, open the door, wait a couple of minutes and then press the power button, then the screen immediately shows a normal image
What could be problematic?.
Hi, i need help please
I bougth the screen N600 Plus for my A class W176. Firstly there was no issue except for the Apple Carplay (when I played the music the music stopped by itself without pressing any buttom). The canbus syncronisation is not working:
- The iDrive is not working (sometimes it works with 5 mins.of lag)
- When I change the air conditioner I can not see it on the screen (it also works sometimes with 5 mins.of lag)
- The hang-in and hang-out buttons on the driving wheel don`t work
I have restarted the screen, entered inside of the "factory" settings and done the canbus syncronanisation (I do not know if I have done it correctly).
What should I do in order to fix all of these issues?

not yet.
tried to connect the N8 to MB audio using Bluetooth, it works and quality is much better, but I lost phone connection and calls.
now I couldn’t make any hardware test because I have been too busy.
I will keep posted

By canbus synchronisation do you mean you ticked the log canbus data and left it on? that would be the reason why the screen is lagging badly, turn it off asap.
As for the other issues try contacting your seller, explain the problems and ask for updated MCU, that might fix the issue.
If you want you can post your MCU version here (system info in settings) and I can have a look if I can find an updated version.

Sometimes I start my car and my screen looks like the second image with lines. I just press a paper clip in the top hole on the left side of the screen to reset it.
Hello benzdude!
I tried to reset the screen with a paper clip, but this situation repeats again. I have an idea why this might be happening. I have a wireless charger installed (pictured below) that displays the voltage in the car's network.
And when starting the car after a long period of inactivity, the initial voltage = 11.8 volts, and then it gradually increases to 12.4 volts. It is at these moments when the car starts up with such low voltages (11.8) that the screen starts showing nonsense. In cases where the starting voltage is 12.4 volts at once, there are almost no such problems (although sometimes they were). Auto The battery is 3 years old (original), measured the voltage on it with a multimeter at start, shows 12.4 volts. Although the original head unit always works well.
I am testing a Dragonfly cobalt, but when I plug it in the Navifly USB port (then through their 3.5mm to usb and then to the GLC..) I cannot hear any sound.
did you setup anything on Android on your device? Any driver or app?
on my Samsung smartphone it works seamlessly without any additional setting

Make sure the cobalt is on the latest firmware.
Plug it into the usb.
Go into the Android screen settings and set volume to 10O%
Make sure GLC media is set to USB Aux
Make sure GLC oem volume on
You can verify by plugging in headphones or desktop speakers to the cobalt. (Lower the volume first)
The Android screen volume resets back to low volume on every reboot. (At least mine does)

If it still doesn't work after what benzdude said then you can try USB Audio Player Pro on Google Play store, if it works then there isn't much you can do other than keep using this app, if it doesn't you can refund the app purchase and use a USB powered hub as that will most likely indicate the dragonfly isn't getting enough juice.
