W205 Carplay Update
Hi everyone,

I'm new to mercedes and I currently have a 2015 w205 which does not have carplay. Is it possible to swap the screen to one from a newer model to have carplay intergrated? or would I need to change the screen to an android/linux screen instead?

The swap is not as simple as you think, better off getting an aftermarket android screen:

Thank you for replying. One thing I was wondering is how do the screens integrate with the reverse camera? Does it automatically switch the system to show the camera

It is able to communicate with COMAND system so it will display the COMAND system's backup camera screen.

Both of these systems from the YouTube video are from the same seller (DMP).
The screens are able to connect to Command and Audio20 as well. I have the latter.
If you go for the 12.3, do not stretch the original screen to full screen, it's just plain ugly!
