I am just glad they finally solved this, I mean it is still not Europe level brightness and/or functionality (like the curtain/box ILS+ function) but at least no more distracting dark spots. The beauty thing is, it is stock.

Your image showing 2 “sign post” looking shadows left of center is exactly the same on my 2025 GLC350e PHEV. Driving me crazy, but probably wont bother having it looked at until my next regular scheduled service later in the year.

Yes. Thx. Saw the fix, but wasnt clear if that was an “official” mercedes fix that USA dealers are aware of, or just a band-aid fix, since I think Ozabani stated its still there but just minimized to the point of good enough. Maybe I should take it in sooner than later. I have a really good dealer and less than 10 minutes away fortunately.

Ya I mean it is not 100% solving the issue but mitigated it and reduced the distracting part of it by a huge extent.

My 2025 AMG GT55 bought 2 weeks ago has a similar though not identical issue. Mine has a clear black circle on the left low light beams, distracting and dangerous. Just noticed as it's not driven much or at all (only 100 miles on it). Took back to dealer who said it was normal. The battle has just started...

EleBest programmed mine. I also raised my headlights a bit above the 25’ line to help when the intelligent high beam isn’t on. I may have raised it too much as some hills cause the box around cars to pop up into their rear window.

The programming took about 3 to 4 hours.

EleBest takes his time and communicates with you the entire time.

if you drive at night on darker roads, this is worth it. If you’re not often on dark roads, eg, not many street lights, it may not be worth it. Still pretty magical though.

On a separate note, does anyone who owns a 2024 GLC43 confirm that they can see digital projections on the road surface?
On the mbusa site, when configuring a new car it says "DIGITAL LIGHT technology can project visual alerts into the driver's view. A variety of icons can appear on the illuminated roadway, to help alert you to detected issues such as construction zones, pedestrians, lane drift or following too closely."

Mine doesn't project any visual alerts onto the surface and my dealer says its a GLE feature.

If the adviser comes back to you with excuses or tells you "they're fine", talk to the service manager/foreman and/or try another dealer. The warranty adjustment period is only (12mo/12kmi?), so don't put off having the headlights adjusted or expect to be charged. Similar to a parking brake adjustment, if not caught by the dealer during the PDI it becomes the owner's responsibility to bring it to the dealer's attention and pay (if outside the warranty period).
who knows how to remove the headlight adjustment cap !!!

Does anyone with the digital lights have the close up cornering lights? On my 2020 C300 they would come on when the car was in reverse, I put on the turn signal and slowed to 15mph, or was below 15mph and turned the wheel tightly. It was one of the best features of those lights and am disappointed they seem to be missing.

Have you messed with the settings? I think they’re called Spotlight now and it’s in the settings of my C 63.

On the highway last night I found it turned off on its own again. I turned it back on. The highlight you're supposed to see on the highway when you use the flasher to change lanes was only coming on about 30% of the time. I haven't seen it highlight anything else. Anyone else have the lights do more with that? Still no signs of turning lights. If I put the car in reverse at night every so often I see more side light coming from the digital lights but nothing consistent.

I have the same issue with a new EQE 350+ - jagged lines and points on low beam, not with high. The Benz “shop foreman” says it’s a “feature.”What a crappy feature, it’s super distracting.

Try the mitigation method mentioned above.

We see stair step and downward pointing cone shadows at night

Hi all,
Our 2024 GLC300 has the same issue with our digital lights. Further, we've never seen the projections. We have paid to subscribe ($150/yr) to all available items (projection included) and enabled all available projections in MBUX. My wife first noticed the shadows driving at night, April 2024. I've taken it to the dealer and I showed them the issue. They looked at another vehicle with digital lights and told me the shadows were there too. So, there was nothing they could or would do.

I wrote to MBUSA 3 times. Provided pictures and a video. No response. I wrote again a few weeks ago expressing my frustration with Mercedes stating my next email was to NHTSA. This is a night time driving safety issue. Someone from MBUSA finally called last week. She was calling to gather information before referring me to the next level support. That person called me today. He wanted me to make a service appointment at the dealer and let him know when the GLC300 would be in the shop. He would coordinate with the dealer to verify the issue and how to proceed. The appointment is Thursday 7/30 at 8am.

I encourage everyone with this issue to write or call MBUSA.

I'll provide an update when I get more information.

Thank you, Sal

If they do have a proper solution, I hope MBUSA knows to provide a bulletin to all dealers for it. My 2022 GLC300 headlights were so much better than these 2025 versions.
1. Jagged teeth shadows (exactly like yours)
2. Inconsistent and mostly non-existent projections while driving
3. Side lighting when making a turn no longer a feature. This one was huge when making right turns on dark streets.

pretty late on a response to this. Stock digital lights in the US do not have the cornering lights from my memory. The euro programming does though. Huge help in traffic circles at night.

The US had them in my previous GLC version. I thought the digital headlights would be an upgrade and keep features like that, but apparently not. Huge help on dark side streets you need to turn on as well. The headlights are my only complaint but its a big deal. I miss my old ones.
