Difficult to find CPO CLS55
Are CLS55s usually not CPOed? It's very difficult to find one that is CPOed. Makes me worry to buy a car that doesn't have warranty on it. Is it possible to still get an aftermarket warranty on it? Which do most of you get? I keep on hearing about this Chrysler waranty.
Also, what are you thoughts on purchasing a 3 owner vehicle (according the carfax that is)?
Thanks!
Regards,
Mike
I can't find any information on the Chrysler warranty, I keep getting info from the actual Chrysler Company.
MB has provided great service. They have replaced a few sensors, rear axle and transmission gaskets for a leak...

50K is more than I want to spend but I'll do the search.
I had no idea that CLSs came with pano roof, I thought that was E55s only. Don't care for the pano roof anyways, I never used the sunroof.
If you really want a CPO CLS55 you are going to have to pay the MBZ dealership premium over an independent. The original warranty has a start/in service date. It comes down to when it was orignally purchased new. I know a lot of dealerships will not CPO a car if it has 50k miles or more. The thing is MBZ dealerships can bend the rules to get a deal done. When I bought my 500 a few months back the dealer had a silver CLS55 on the lot with 47k miles on it. If it were not rode hard and put away wet I would have bought it because the sales manager offered to throw in a year CPO if I bought a year. That would have given me 2 years or up to 100,000 miles. It was just too beat.
At the time there was another 55 for sale at another dealership that was loaded and had 56k miles and that MBZ dealer was offering it as a cpo car as well. Like I said, it's up to the delaership. They bend all the rules.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, the two that I'm looking at are not at a MB dealer so getting it CPOed will get difficult (if possible at all).
The thought of not having a CPO scares me. My current car has an extended warranty and it has paid for itself more than once. The car has been rock solid since once the kinks got worked out. Hope to do the same with the MB.
Warranty work so far: 2 new pulleys, 1 new water pump changed out.
Non warranty: (wear and tear) 2 serpentine belts $100 DAMN for belts!
MB of Laguna Niguel has already performed warranty work with the upgraded engine parts, they seem to have no problem with the modding.

i paid 46k pre-tax and bought a $3.5k extended transferable warranty... after it was all said in done... my CPO cls55 cost me about 52k OTD w/ 36,000 miles on it.
does it come with a warranty and/or is it CPO'd?
