can someone confirm that 255 35 20s will work on a et 25 front wheel
need to order tires for the front, 255 35 20 are 27" od, 255 30s are 26.1" od.
i bent 2 of my old fronts on a 245 35 20 on my wonderful CT rds and would rather do a slight larger profile on my new wheels. i think the 245s were 26.7" od. car is lowered with star

i did search, it seems like a gray area when it comes to 255 35 20, im not worried about ride height, i ran 245 35 20 with zero issue with clearance but still managed to bend the wheels on our ****ty rds. im worried that a lower profile is going make the ride harsher, and less meat on the tire to absorb the rds. that and my rears are 295 30 20 which around 27" od. I was hoping someone is maybe running a 255 35 20.

i would keep a 245 35 20 tire but it wont cover the full width of the 9" wheel, hence why i am trying to stick with a 255 35 20. im just hoping it wont rub on the suspension for most part.

From what i remember 255/35/20 will rub against suspension bolt.
Couple years back we had several forum members ( including myself ) who were getting ready to purchase 20 inch wheels so we did alot of research and agreed that 255/35/20 will not fit right because of the suspension bolt.
However you can try it and let as all know if it fits or doesn't

i already ground down the suspension bolt, and re tapped so its almost flush from when i had wheels with spacers. so if thats the only issue i should be ok. ill be placing my order this week, will report back once i get these wheels and tires mounted,

I've had 255/35/20 on both my E55 and CLS55 for years. They never rubbed but I filed a few of the extra threads hanging off the upper ball joint anyways. IMO You want to have 6-7 mm clearance minimum because the tire will grow in diameter at high speed.
The E55 has a 20x9 with ET29 and CLS55 has 20x9 with ET25
