---------------------- Sorry to hijack thread
KKev, yep i have to agree with that. I have installed Eatons and Whipples on LS1s and there is little difference on the dyno at 6psi each after this the temps of the air the eaton is compressing rises and the eaton is pretty much useless at 10psi. Don't get me wrong i think the eaton is a solid choice for applications up to say 8psi.

I'll do the exhaust later...if at all. The 1-2k drone still scares me a bit... I'm gonna do another mod before I do this one It's gonna be a good one too!

We can all discuss merits of each SC design untill the cows come home. In the end, AMG used twin screws from IHI and I am pretty sure they had a pretty good reason why.

Here are the facts, in case they got overshadowed by small talk:

1. HPS kits do not make advertised HP/TQ.

2. HPS used other car dyno graphs as their own, which is FRAUD!!!!!

3. HPS is trying to fix the lack of tuning for their kits by promising current owners that their cars will be fixed.

So when can we see that tuning has been addressed???

Adam, I know you are reading this. You had my respect when you redesigned your kits per my advice and made them better.

However, you are about to loose it.

You do know why.

Vadim,

Please, just be patient with US. So far, we only have one day last week to do the tuning (about 6 hrs). We were expecting the work to continue on Monday but Jesse is a very busy guy and HPS is not the only account he currently have. Believe it or not but he's also busy tuning one of HPS competitor kit right now and that's why tomorrow will be our day. We not even sure if we can have Jesse any day next week because of his other appointments/projects. So please wait until the final dyno result. AMGSC car is currently dyno at 365 rwhp with an a/f ratio 11-12.

You can alway buy the Kleemann kit throught him. Rumors has it that he also trying to sell Kleemann kit to HPS protential customers. If this is true, that's the weirdest thing from the business point view. What happen to HOP kit? Is there a 3th customer with HOP kit yet? I will give the same offer as Mark Cumming for the 3th HOP customer with the HOP and one customer with Kleemann kit to re-dyno their car at Mech Tech. Just want to verify the facts !!

Hey Linh you were right I'm waiting for Jims secretary Pam to give me a new date to come down when I can get everything done at once no point in adding things w/out proper tuning to go w/it...PM me your cell # I lost it

Not sure how it's weird to recommend a quality alternative in the situation that his own company's kit doesn't fit in the engine bay...

Rumor has it........... There's your answer in your own statement. Again second hand news/information. AMGSC apparently asked what a vialble alternative was. The Kleemann system was the answer..."Proven Performance". Since HoP does not make a system for that chassis. AMGSC asked for prices and he apparently was given the estimate. Is there a problem with that?? Seems HPS better start taking care of their customers before their customers go elsewhere. Linh didn't you call HoP and ask if they could help you say last week? Could swear it was you on the speaker phone . Ooh and you mentioned about Jesse tuning a competitors car, yeah I know what car it was and it was because the installer hooked the fuel lines up backwards and he was attempting to add fuel to the software. How do I know you say, hmmm well for starters the place of business told me, and Jesse's signature trademark was all over the DME. This green sticky stuff called "green isopropyl alcohol". Nice lets clean the DME with flavored alcohol. Where's the garnish we are having Martinis tonight.

Not sure why you wouldn't want even a free dyno. Are you too nervous on what the real numbers might be? I have to admit I waited a while to get my first dyno because i was worried I would be disapointed with the results. After getting my first dyno at HOP I did have my head down, but I did resolve the problem by getting 25whp more and getting the air/fuel dialed in. If I would have never had my car dyno'd, I would be driving around with less HP than I have now, air/fuel ratio's that's in the danger zone and worst of all mis-quoting my HP ratings to my friends.

It is always better to know.

DragonAMG's dyno chart video

Can anyone read the numbers off his video clip? I asked him to email me a close-up of his chart two days ago but have not gotten a response yet although he said he would do it after he got home that same day.

Now I read that he just sold his car. Darn I was hoping to challenge him after HPS fixes my car. At least I've still got BennyZ and hopefully the new owner of Dragon's (Josh H) car will join the forum. I would really love to see a three way challenge between HPS, Kleeman, Rentech and maybe even Brabus on C55's provided we all live in Southern Cal.

You maybe be at hop when i called Josh R, to asked him about his discovered lean running condition on HPS car and what exactly he did to fixed the problem on that car. I also asked him if he know anything about Mark making a free dyno offer on HPS car and he said that he does not know anything about it but he'll still give me that offer since i didn't take the free dyno offer at the last AMG meet. He also offered to fix my problem for me for a charges. I flat out told him NO because my car was still under HPS warranty !!! THAT WAS ALL WE TALKED ABOUT. I NEVER ASKED HIM TO HELP ME !!! What Josh R told you might be a difference story.

I was hoping that HPS get the ECU upgrade quick so i can dyno it at HOP just to show that every problems was fix !!! Funny that you didn't figure it out what i was trying to do but Mark Cumming did............and his offer is no longer good if HPS fix the problems.

Now, would you dare to take on the free offer to dyno your car at Mech Tech? Btw, Josh R also told me that your car BEAT the E55 with HPS SC ( i think it was E55CENT car) but Josh R also said that it wasn't a fair race due to traffic. I just wonder, were you ahead of Mario car or still behind when you hit traffic?

That's funny the way you speak of Jesse. Were you the one also asked Jesse to help you with the ECU upgrade for your kit?

I was pulling on Mario's car and was about half a length in front of him when I hit traffic. If traffic wasn't there I still wouldn't have fallen behind. (sorry Mario) lol. You want a piece of the CLK? :0)))

By the way, there's never been a doubt about the accuracy of HoP's dyno numbers - not only have no cars come out of there with cooked numbers or numbers from another car (as has been the case with MechTech) they have proven themselves accurate by finding the well documented problems with AMGSC's car and Mario's car (among others).

My numbers have never been in question. I've readily posted dynos unlike many others, and as anyone who has ridden in my car (or raced it) can attest to, it actually works. I haven't had a single problem since I had my s/c installed.

Ouch, you cut me deep. We have to set up a fair race, there were too many variables going on that day. We will have to do it from a dig to 100mph. It doesn't bother me too much to loose but I want to lose fair.

We should be proud because we are the only non-Kleeman cars that have functional superchargers with real dyno's to prove it. We may not have the highest dyno numbers, but they are real.

Josh, I will meet you at the flag pole after school. Three O'clock high. LOL

Which is why I didn't say anything about our little race until it was pulled out of me.

I couldn't have said it better. Funny that so far the Gen 1 has proven itself to be superior to the Gen 2.
