Quote: I've never been, but do have quite a few auto X hounds as friends now in the Vette world, you have a lot to learn, a guy in a pinto or a delivery van for that matter w/driver skill would b-slap you all over any auto X track, if Cyncarvin has half the experience he claims to have you will be history..

Driver Skill is paramount on these courses, besides what gives? do you really think your car is some sort of super car? impervious to the latest intercooler mishap? Now you're throwing smaller pulleyes in the mix w/all these other mods?? you really are a "Glutton for Punishment" aren't you?
i am not some amazing driver. I have been to enough track events to know how to get the car to do somehting close to what I desire. I just can say I saw his car, saw the driver... who ever was driving, and it was not a big threat. I have waved by stock 330i's before and I have been waved past GT-40's F430's, Lambos etc....

That car will expire if he goes to the track. It is not a place for a half sorted car. It will go home on my AAA premium tow plan and need a new motor for sure...piston through the block this time.

He is changing all these items on his car at once and expects it to work? He could not get it to work before so lets change MORE variables to thicken the pot some MORE!

What's sad is that AMGSC still thinks that he is making sense.

He's trying to add-on peripheral upgrades to a charger that has a problematic design.... This project was bound to fail since day 1.

Kev no need to explain this all to me. I have read all 1400 posts here and laughed since day one.

I am just SHOCKED he still thinks that blower is worth leaving on a 30k motor. Get it off and sell that car before it is worth 15k.

He's the one that's not getting it, not you of course. We've been saying the same thing for the past 20 some pages and he's the only one that didn't get it. Every time I came across this thread, I always have mixed feelings. I laugh at the owner's stupidity and his downward spiral. On the other hand, I feel angry about a fellow AMG owner that are so oblivious about how to get a car working right. I'm not a very technically inclined person so I chose not to do any engine mods to my car because there are limited tech support in Boston. He's in freakin' SoCal and there are so many capable tuners around..... I also feel sad about the car for having such a crappy owner.

The coolant probably destroyed the engine by now so it doesn't really matter if he left the paper weight on.

AMGSC,

Stop embarassing yourself in front of all these members. Just stop it please.
This is getting ridiculous. Given that your C55 is fast, there is always someone who is faster than your car.

Quote: I bet once I make my last post of my dyno results (with witnesses) and my lap times, 0-60, 1/4, etc.. The C32 haters would go away quietly into the night and mutter to themselves "Why did'nt I trade my car in for a C55"!

Guess what? I'm scheduled to install Renntech headers/high flow cats, exhaust and Quaife LSD this week. Like I said I will challenge ANY C32 to 3 laps around a track or a 1/4 run for PINKS! ANY TAKERS?

After that, I'll still move on to my next project with a 6.3 MB or a Z06.
bla bla bla, better bring your pink slip.

My car is in capable hands right now. I will withhold final judgement until I get the car back from Mechtech before the heavy mods go in. It will undergo a compression check, full engine inspection, oil and coolant changed and topped off. Go check www.mechtech-ms.com and you will see that Jim has a thriving performance/motorsport business that includes German imports such as MB, BMW, Porshe and Audi.

I was'nt trying to break any world records until the wise-crackin underpowered C32 crowd started getting on my nerves instead of providing sound objective advice.

Yes, I know HPS had a ton of problems with other cars as well as mine but they are still trying. Did'nt you ever wished you had a second chance to make things right? It seems like everybody wants to crucify HPS and now me for sticking with the kit. I can't help it if I'm curious where this will lead. If it is truly a crappy kit with no hope for redemption then the world will know and I would have saved many potential customers of the heartache. Contrary to what you guys think, I believe I am truly a consumer advocate/product reviewer.

Agree. Having likely as much track time and experience as anyone on this forum, CC is 100% correct. THAT car will NOT make it through a day at Willow Springs.

He is also 100% correct that the weapon is not nearly as important as the soldier. A good or great driver in an average car will SMOKE a poor driver in a supercar. Been there, done that MANY times. For example, one of our race prepped M3's smoked a 500K F360 GT Michelotto at Willow Last weekend, as well as a new style Z06 race prepped on slicks. Both of these cars are faster and better cars, but our driver just out drove them.

I have not seen CC drive, and in fact he and I have had it out on occasion on this forum (so there is no love lost), but based completely on the number of days he has on track and the manner in which he speaks of the track I know authoritatively that he has learned and progressed as a track driver and is likely quite proficient.

One word of advice, never challenge someone to a road coarse race unless you know the driver level AND the car they are driving.

As for AMGSC's car, I feel very sad for him. He did come here and we (including Powerchip) respectfully declined to work on the power issues. We did offer to help with the diff and some other issues (we recommended this be done ONLY after the motor issue is handled), but it sounds like he found another shop that will just let him throw money at the car. That is the sad part, some shop is going to take even more money from AMG (who IS a nice guy gang - he is just a little mislead on this car) and leave him in a worse position then he is in now - that leaves a bad taste in anyones mouth and is part of why people are so cynical about the aftermarket industry.

Thanks
Brad

We've been giving you objective advice from the beginning, but we got on your nerves because you didn't LIKE the advice. All of us have our limits, and after you repeatedly showed that you were not going to listen, and just keep making poor decisions and dig yourself deeper and deeper, many of us lost our patience. You created the C32 vs. C55 thing yourself. None of us challenged you.

You’re at rock bottom. Now you’re stance is, "oh yeah . . . well I'll kick your ***!"

Rob, sorry my friend but it is not.

Let me put it to you this way - I have known Jim since 1989, after he screwed up my 5.0L Mustang. As a matter of fact, he is one of the reasons I got into tuning business, shortly thereafter.

Do a search on Bimmer forums under "Mechtech"...................

Oh, wait......................... Never mind.................

Giving you advice, is like talking to a wall...................

Vadim he forgot that the reason this thing got started was that you pointed out to him his dyno was not correct. they gave him a Dyno sheet of a different car, I was impressed that you know what your talking about from the first post you had.

its sad to see AMGSC taken of a ride. he has to much pride and started to challenge the C32 owners. LOL I would love to race him but I dont want to be the owner of a POS C55 that would be my headache.....

If I were to own that car I would part it out. All that might be worth some money are his PSS-9 coilovers and the new brakes

The rest is junk.

Guys we tried to get him to wake up but instead he hastaunted us all and said he will race us for pinks.

Its a hopeless cause. The joke now rests in how many times he will come back here (to the endless joking and abuse) to tell us he latest crack pot idea on going quickly.

In a city with many tuners he always ends up with the hacks only because everyone else says I dont want to get near that heap of steaming excrament.

Very well said. And very SAD, in the end.

Nothing make me more happy than to see someone succeed in modding their ride.

I was very happy for Dragon when he had his Kleemann C55 and enjoyed it.

I helped BennyZ with get his Renntech C55 sorted it out and he still enjoys it every day.

But it tears my heart to see Rob's C55 suffer and Lihn's CL55 limp into South Bay MB, when I was there, and having Jesse beg me to have it warrantied.

Vadim come on you are the man but I goto southbay all the time to get my car serviced there and you were never the service manager.

The service managers name is Steve Shimkus I heard your position there was behind the computer monitor as internet sales agent. If at work your anything like you are on this forum then I can see where the illusions come from.

Quote: What kind of Dope are you smoking? I told you a friend was driving my car since I did'nt have a helmet on that day. He was NOT driving fast but was simply feeling it out for a lap or two. He is also not an experience track driver from what I know.

I've got the Quaife going this week along with Headers, Hi-Flow Cats, Exhaust, 2.65" pulley, 6x Johnson Pump, Super Heavy Duty Intercooler and Brembo 6 piston front/4 piston back brakes.

You may have the edge in terms of driver skills but I bet even a Novice driver like myself would have you waving me by every lap.
So AMGSC, CynCarvin32 has accepted your challenge. Are you going to put up or shut up ??

What was that about? I have been following postings here for 11 months and I've known that Vadim is a capable Sales Rep the entire time. Now, I see that he is the Internet Sales Manger for MBLN. (Congratulations on the new title, Vadim). His signature has always listed his title.

I also understand that he has vast experience with Evosport and that has been transferred to his newer role. Personally, I would not work with anyone but Vadim, for my next purchase, because of his knowledge and helpful spirit. I have even tried to get him to intervene on my behalf with MBLN service (he is too good a man to cross that line though).

What has Vadim ever posted to make you go after such an upstanding member/sponsor in such a vicious, ignorent and underhanded way?

+1 Vadim seems like the best and certainly the only MB guy that gives a $#it!

As for Mig888 well he is upset because Vadim called him out about being Jesse or Jose from Speed Innovation that is *hiding* behine the Mig888 handle. Thats all.
