Thumbs up Finally.. something for MY boring shifter

Some of you might still remember this thread:
Finally.. something for our boring shifter

Well, the drama ended with a happy ending. After unsuccessful attempts through direct communication with AMG as well as through my dealer, I took a different route via a family member (an uncle) and his MB connection back in September last year. I had forgotten about this whole ordeal until I received a message from him earlier this month that my shift knob was on the way to Denver. Unfortunately, this item was surprisingly expensive. But since they failed to tell me the cost prior to ordering, and since I refused to spend that much for a shift knob, my uncle decided to give it to me as a belated birthday present.
Of course should I decide to sell my car later on, I'll make sure this piece will not go with it.

PS: The last pic is just random. I was playing and took a few pics.

You're saying that is a $577 shift knob? Holy Crap! It is beautiful but $577? Yikes.

Yes, you will want to keep that knob if you ever sell.

Does it do any special tricks (wireless access, orgas-mitron, fix dinner, bear your children)?

Beautiful shifter, Ugly price! I have been trying to find a new shifter since my "C32" shifter is peeling and looks like shiite.
I like the Schatz shifters, but don't like their price. All that's on ebay is cheap plastic and wood shifters.

Regards,
Pete

What camera did you use, pictures look fantastic!
Beautiful shift knob, really screams class, but in a very understated way, I can't explain it.

Thanks. It was a Canon EOS 10D with 28-105mm.
I think my car is not worthy the shift knob.
