Renntech vs. Evosport

Renntech vs. Evosport
Which package would you prefer for a c32? The Renntech Stage 1 vs. the Evosport Stage 2 are very comparable in price. The Evosport claims to produce about 20 hp/20 lb. ft. more than the Renntech however due to the headers I assume. Also, I am planning to add an intake at the same time. Any suggestions?

I'm in basically the same boat as you - stock C32 and I'll probably do one or the other of these kits. Personally I'm leaning towards Renntech Stage I, because I view it as a higher overall quality (IMHO) and have read excellent feedback on Renntech's ECU tuning - and their flexibility to custom-tune after the fact, if you mod something else (like headers, cams, etc.). I've heard the opposite about Powerchip.

Personally, I've seen better gains on the Evosport headers compare to the Renntech headers.
Also, bear in mind that Renntech doesn't write its own software.

Evosport is a great deal, and they do stand behind their products. If you do decide to get the Renntech kit, make SURE that it includes free retunes later. Not every reseller includes that option.

We could go on and on about the positives and negatives of each company. I think it comes down to what you want in the long run. There are a few of us that will confirm this.
If you are happy with Evosport Stage II numbers and have no plans of doing anything else in the future, then that would be the best bet. They are a one stop shop.
However, if you plan on doing other mods and want to go past the Stage II mark, then you might want to consider other options.

don't get me wrong, i am not knocking evosport, i agree that they do take care of their customers...i just wanted to be clear that Powerchip is the one that does their tuning, that's all...

RennTech
Like Jerry mentioned above, if you plan on adding future mods, then RennTech would be the way to go. Powerchip will not tune for past stage 2, and they're not good at diagnosing problems...
Another option is to go RennTech Stage 1, then add headers and splitter from Evosport, then RennTech Stage 2 ECU (AMG_Jerry's Stage II ECU flash before heads and cams). You get the BEST of both worlds...

Between the two I think a very big factor would be which tuner has a rep in your area.
