A turning point in Mercedes tuning...Performance Supercharger Pulley

I hope others are shipping with instructions though. Not that it's rocket science, but I could see how a some type of guide would be helpful.

Any progress with the shorter AC-delete belt that you were going to try about 7 or 8 pages back? It's obvious you've been busy with some products....
It's just something easy that could apply to any MB. If it proves to be worth a few ponies I wouldn't mind swapping it out in cooler weather or at the track. Assuming that MB makes these as a diagnostic belt for other models.

You are going to run into MAP issues before your boost levels create anyother issues. The max of 5v is a limiting factor.
As long as you have a good tune I would not worry about the bottom end being able to support the boost levels you are running.

Erick and I were just discussing this over the weekend... the problem is, they don't know. He's proactively contacted our S/C manufacturer to get the specs, but they're not willing to share... so, the only way to find out if the S/C can handle 25 psi would be to try it and hope nothing breaks - and as far as that goes, my thinking fits with turbo16lbs's comment earlier... these are EXPENSIVE engines to be rolling the dice with.
That said, if you want to personally guinea-pig it, I'll gladly learn from any results you're willing to share...

The compressor should limited by maximum RPM and heat. At higher boost levels and higher RPM, there is more heat build up and the compressor efficiency drops.
The boost pressure vs RPM becomes somewhat asymptotic. So it is pointless above some level of RPM and boost. The heat is rising so fast, one is not really getting any benefit and the blower is also taking excessive crank HP as parasitic loss.
To get more power, one just wants more airflow at maximum density (meaning lowest temperature). Boost pressure is just a way to monitor increase in airflow, but this only really works for constant temperature.

There are documents that state the stock C32 compressor rotor speed reaches 20,700 RPM, when the engine reaches 6,200 RPM, but the rotor speed probably is NOT the same as the compressor pulley speed. The blower pulley drives a gear box in the front snout.
http://www.sae.org/automag/techbrief...001/techb3.htm
I am not sure of all the stock pulley exact dimension, but approximately...
If the stock crank pulley was about 159mm and the blower pulley was about 73mm, then the max blower pulley RPM on a stock C32 (6200PM engine) would be about 13,500RPM. The 178mm crank pulley would increase this to 15,100RPM.
The W140AX 2.3L Whipple blower has a max RPM rating of 16,000RPM. This blower seems to be a slightly larger size of the blower than on the C32 and has a maximum pressure rating of 30psi.
http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/...sp?ProdID=1162
I guess the only way to know for sure is check with the C32 blower Mfg or rebuilder.
If enough people put the large crank pulley and blower pulley on the C32 motor and run it for awhile, we may find out if the limit has been reached. This may be above the limit.

Are the sc pullies and intake in stock yet. I spoke to brandon a while back and he was expecting them the week of may19-23rd so I would just like to confirm it. Will I recieve a confirmation when my order ships?

I spoke to him earlier in the week and he was expecting them, and I quote "worst case scenario" was yesterday, Thursday. He was again waiting for the back plates like last time.
Said he has the intakes and will be shipping out shortly.
Oh the suspense!!

Kleemann pulley is what? 168mm? I think you'll be OK, depending on the test results using 178mm pulley. Brandon, how was it?

I was wondering if this wud work for this car.. and wat the power increase would be.. if i could get a PM with an answer i would greatly appreciate it because i barely visit this forum and ill probably forget to check up on it
thanks

I was talking to a friend who owns a SuperCharged S2000. I asked him about his SC. He told me he is using a smaller SC pulley, making 10psi while the manufactured pulley makes 5psi. One of the things he mentioned was fuel map. He told me without new fuel mapping, he would run lean which is terrible for the car. So how much more boost is the Code3 SC Pulley making over the stock one? Would I need fuel mapping for this mod?

If your car is stock and you just go with S/C pulley and intake no need for a tune. I highly suggest looking back through all the posts on this. You will find some really useful info from people on this forum that know their S???. There are actually graphs that will give you your answer. Without looking back again i believe it raises boost 3-4 PSI over stock.
If you friend is doubling his boost I can see where he would need a re map. that must be one quick S2000.

I will be the G-pig if nobody has tried it yet. I want to find out if the 185
& Code3 will work together.
My 32 will be out of the shop with the LET 185 package installed tomorrow.
I will call Code3 tomorrow and see if he has any of his pullies in stock. I ordered his new intake several weeks ago, but it has not shown up yet.
I will send the ECU to Jerry once the Code3 pulley is installed.
If it does not blow to pieces....I am going to order LET's injectors & Cams. If it does blow to pieces I will pick up whats left, cry, and start over again
I do not have access to a dnyo, but I do have a buddy with a tow truck!!
I will report my findings or dissaster as best as possible.
God Speed, Good Luck, and Good Brakes....
& Code3 will work together.

You are one brave person I wish you the best of luck. If I recall right you wanted to get 400 rwhp and this setup if all remains on the safe side might get you there. Good luck my friend
PLEASE DYNO AFTER 185 PULLEY INSTALL AND IF POSSIBLE AFTER C3P INTAKE AND S/C PULLEY.
