Thumbs down Code3 order feedback!

Did any of your guys recently order stuff from code3performance? I placed my order last months with him and still haven't gotten a respond from him yet. It's almost impossible to reach him. No answer on phone or e-mail. What's up with this merchant?

i find that really hard to believe- i've ordered from him in the past and had great service and products. maybe your order is lost in cyberspace or something of the sort. it doesn't make sense that someone that's pretty active on the boards, would have a sale like this. some of the other, money hungry, non posting vendors- i could see, but not Code3

Try and call code3 yourself. I haven been calling him for the past 2 weeks. No answer what so ever.

I ordered code3 instead of Let, because of the great reviews on this board. I only wish i have ordered from Let instead.

I ordered mine when they were backordered on May 15th, and then they came back into stock and I received it about one week later.

During that time, I called three times. Once, the beginning of June to see when he was expecting them back in stock. He answered and talked to me for a while telling me what he was waiting for and some improvements he made.

Then about a week later, when they were supposed to have been in, I tried again. No answer and I left a message. No response two days later and I tried again. Brandon answered and said he was shipping mine and others out at that very moment. I received it 3 days later.

To be honest, it was missing the instructions, but they were online on his Website; also missing was the little pad I was to use for the installation, but I had my mechanic install it, so it wasn't an issue.

I still love the product and highly recommend it, but I think Brandon may have a lot on his plate and doesn't honestly intend to keep people waiting.

there are many start up companies that are just that- start up. many of these people still have full time jobs and tend to their new business as they have time. in these times- that's what a smart man would do. it's hard to hang up everything and jump into a tuner shop/supplier. i don't know for sure- but i would venture a guess that's what brandon did/is doing. rest assured though- he's a good guy pedaling good products. LET has the advantage because they have one or two other guys on the boards who are in with them, so that makes it appear as thought their customer service might be better. from what i've seen on the board, brandon is a one man band.

Oh man, you got ALL messed up! I feel for you. Sorry Bud!

See my post #11 in this thread. You should have two Phenolic pieces and one green Uni foam and 6 screws.

Question

OMG what is going on? I received 2 gaskets for my spacer w/no silicon couplings, which is supposed to 4 gaskets and for some reason he gave me two foam filter for the intake. I'm totally confused with my order. He even gave me two 2" rubber tubes. For a second I thought it was part of the intake mod extension like the sl55 setup. What are those rubber tubes for?

I understand that the HE will take time since it's back ordered. But why all the mess with other items?

Hey brandon, is everything ok on your side?

My girl's legal office has generated more letters to shady car industry companies than any other market. Especially the aftermarket, and it's not that they are bad people either, they just can't produce at the level they sell or advertise. I actually see this stuff in front of me often. Many times the issues compound and they end up in court. Not saying anyone here is in this catagory but the numbers don't lie. They come and go every year. At the end of the day someone always has the choice and ability to correct something and many times they don't. Personally I always fulfil my current paying customer before I take on the next no matter what $amount is at hand.

..and don't think you made the wrong vendor choice yet. I paid LET for something that was supposed to ship almost two weeks ago and have yet to recieve a reply other than waiting on a proper sized box. As if there is shortage of corrugated cardboard in the US

I ordered online last week from their site and received products the same week. Installed and good to go. I even received e-mails over the weekend and very prompt service.

Yeah, if you ordered a Heat Exchanger, I talked to Erick the other day and he told me he's out of them until the end of this week.

It's tough enough to manufacture, or assemble bits manufactured elsewhere. Add to that the complexity of shipping, customer relations, and the fact that these are often garage-based businesses running on a shoestring, and you see the problem. My advice if anyone's listening or reading is that a modest investment in a staff member (to answer phones, respond to inquiries, track down parts, etc.) can payoff handsomely in increased sales.

That said, the Code3 products have a fairly limited customer base, so they're going to need to diversify a ton to take the business to the next level. I hope they make it. (Note that I say "they" instead of "Brandon." It's all part of the corporate image!)

JUST TO BE CLEAR, YOU DID NOT ORDER ANY OF OUR PRODUCTS!

you bought an extra renntech wheel from me personally, it has nothing to do with LETMotorsports...

i have boxes instock to ship our products, i just kept forgetting to order the right sized box inorder to ship this wheel to you which you insisted needed to be packaged properly because of a prior experience that you had with a damaged wheel during shipping...

Owned? How so?

I sent a payment to LET through paypal. Not Eric's addy. A payment sent to a registered buisness according to paypal. From what I gather Eric is LET. I don't see how a vendor who produces income through this site could could pick and chose what dealings are labeled "personal" or not. A good business practice would be knowing that the company is represented any time an owner/employee is posting and or dealing on this site. Even so, a personal dealing should hold the same importance as any. In the end I paid for a non-LET product through LET and was told it would ship in 2 days. How is this any different?

Eric, I've spoke with you and to my understanding everything is fine now that the wheel has been shipped. I hate to drag this up but just don't understand the "ownage" comment. Kinda dumb really. Anyways, thanks again for getting that out..

Agree (and agree w/ Nitrogen that the OJ comment was dumb) - however, Nitrogen's original post (#12) was misleading IMO, warranting Erick's response.

As the post #12 reply was to the OP's comments venting over his C3P woes with C3P product assistance (which may or may not be resolved at this point), the implication in Nitrogen's post was clearly that LET had problems with fulfilling an order - Erick's post clarified the transaction.

It would be like publicly criticizing VRP's customer service because Vadim had an extra flat hood emblem laying around that he agreed to sell and didn't ship as quickly as originally intended... which I would suggest is counterproductive and misguided. There is a sub-forum on mbworld for buyer and seller feedback for such information as well... just my $0.02 - glad to hear things are most of the way resolved at this point, as it sounds like Nitrogen should receive his purchase (i.e. Renntech wheel) soon.

Agree

I know it wasn't Eric with the comment, and I feel silly even responding now that things are fine. The "ownage" thing is just played out and misused often. I was just told 2 days and expected it being that my car is for sale and sitting on a jack stand. Hard to sell that way LOL. Had some buyers with a good sense of humor though..2 weeks was a kick in the nuts to be honest. Eric knows that things are ok now I honestly felt that I wasn't so much trying to tarnish his rep as I was pointing out to the OP that anything can happen in this industry no matter what the repuation of the vendor is.
