Good cars. Do a search of this board and you'll find the common problem areas. Unfortunately there are many, and they're often not inexpensive to fix.

This is not the vehicle to buy if gas mileage or low maintanance costs are a concern. This is definitely the vehicle to buy if you want a really fast sedan that's actually comfortable and easy to live with day to day. There are sportier cars of this general type out there (e.g. the E46 M3) but the C32 has a price advantage and is probably easier to live with due to better ride quality, smooth and easy power delivery (you'd never guess how fast this car is in normal driving) and the automatic transmission.

If it is a new G you have ?
Id keep the g35 if you live in NYC
I think the G is a more comfortable car to handle the rough roads plus its more reliable. YOu wont be able to use the c32's power advantage unitl you hit triple digits.

I think the G handles better too. I really think you would be disapointed in the C32/C55 because it's features are dated. It's nav looks like something out of a third world country, the electrics are touchy and the build quality is less than desired but better than BMW. Unless you like straight line acceleration, than i would consider staying in what ur in.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
i would make sure the seat control modules have been replaced...there's a defect where they would drain the battery over night. I would also see if the radiator has been replaced too. Early model c32's had radiators that would leak later into the tranny.

Like most german cars its the electrics that tends to be the problem. The engine itself is built very well.

C32
You may check the seat control modules (power leaking) and the "da da" sound from the A/C valve inside the dashboard, these are must-fixed problems for early model of C32

also check the intercooler pump which is located at the driver side of the front bumper, the air pump, which is located above the alternator and the supercharger pulley clutch. Please also check your crank pulley, most of the C32 crank pulleies suffer from a lose PU dampener

04' C32 AMG & 90' TT 300ZX
2008 g35x is definitely a step down to a 2003 c32 amg. The c32 is a nice car but the engine is a 3.5 (aka its not a slow car). The vq engine is a good one. The 300zxtt is a vg and this one is supposed to be the newer version. Its got teh AWD. The interior is nice and its definitely more durable and sturdy and it is updated unlike the c32 prehistoric interior. Like stated there are common malfunctions with the c32. I can't think of anything else to say except that I'm about to buy an 07/09 g35x cause there really aren't any cars that are "better" for the price.

IMO.....i would take a C32 over a G35/37/37S/X (w/e combo) any day.

yeah but say you already had a brand new car and decided to sell it to get into a 6 year old car. Would you still do it

A little different when you dont have a car to begin with, then i would agree with you. But if you have bluetooth, ipod capability, birds eye view Nav, and a beautiful interior. I think you would be disappointed until you hit the gas in the c32.
