The pistons are CP or Ross I believe...Do you know which ones are the absolute best brand for our AMGs? Have you upgraded your axles yet and if so what is your recommendation?
I asked for Titanium rods and boring it out but Vadim advised against this until we get it running first. If all goes well, then order up phase 2 with SC feeding Twin Garrett GT55s and bore and stroke, re-sleeve with Titanium Rods. Vadim keeps telling me that if this car pushes over 1000hp it will be uncontrollable or undriveable for daily use. I don't need to worry because I only work 5 miles home and usually commute by bicycle.
I know HooleyBoy, Alumnar and possibly mb_amg_c55_guy are flanking me left and right so I must forge ahead. Soon there will be 4 super-fast C55s that will challenge the 55K, 63 or even the 65 speed record this year.

What you plan on doing to your motor sounds like a plan for disaster as well. S/C and Turbocharge? Why?
Good luck!

Titanium rods is overkill on a street car. If you go turbo you should get rid of the charger, charger has parasitic loss, you can just turn up the boost on the turbos and make more power. Two GT55s? Thats pretty big. You know a single GT35R can flow enough to support 600whp right? Two of those would be plenty with a quicker spool or you can go a little bigger.
Good luck with your project, I'm glad yu have the determination n funds to get do this Yea I cant wait to see all these badass C55's done. It will be awesome!

update
I'm 98% there: All major work is just about done. I have to say It looks sick so far. There are still a few hurdles to jump. It looks like the only things left are the custom crank pulley install, custom made intake, belts, and some tunning... I am hoping for a Friday completion, They are thinking early next week. We are waiting on a separate intercooler reservoir so I'm at UPS's mercy.
The C32 heat exchanger fit like a glove, it was like it was made for the C55. Josh I cant wait to beat you with your old H/E!

Glad to hear it's coming together. Our next team race is the 21st and the 3 passes you get for the money will be worth it. Or just come to the race that AZSRA is putting on since the track prep should still be killer from our day race.
It's going to warm up but you should still get a good baseline and well into the 12's, dare I say 11's?

I'm just lucky to live near a shop that knows what its doing. We also had this think thought out well. Not to mention we got our hands on a s430 that had this same mod done to it.

People ship their cars to them all the time. They have cars shipped there for work from Canada, Spain, and all over the USA, Once you get something done by them its hard to let someone else work on it. Even the local MB dealer recommends Dyno-Comp for work they do.

Friday update
I just got off the phone with the shop and my car is basically done. There is a delay on the crank pulley, but was told that should be done and in on Monday. The custom intake came in and i guess is now on the car. There is a base map loaded up on the car and will be dialed in next week. The only things left to do is install the pulley and find some belts then slap it on the dyno for tuning. I was told it will be ready at the latest by Friday of next week if not sooner.

With regards to the crank pulley: It is my understanding that my stock crank pulley will have another pulley pressed into it that will be smaller. In turn lowing the boost that the SC puts out.
