I've read about the different airboxes and filters you all use but I havent seen any mention of this type of intake on here. What do you all think about this? Personally i think it looks sweet and seems like it would be pretty well-functioning but i am no expert on these cars. Thanks guys!

$200 dollars 2 intake filters, a couple clamps, and 2 aluminum pipes seems a bit pricey IMO. besides, the C55 needs larger airboxes to see more gains as well. even if you increase the flow coming in with bigger intake pipes, the rate limiting step would become the airboxes

I see. So pretty much it may help a little but without a new airbox it will be limited. Do you think it would sounds more agressive or no? Where would i look to get an airbox? I saw the Renntech one but it seems pretty steep for an airbox.

not gonna lie. the airboxes for your car are quite expensive. i think the current options are VRP, Renntech, and Kleemann. Shoot Hooleyboy a PM about which ones are the best to get. He's the expert (to me at least)

It sort of looks like my setup with the SL55 intake and ITG filters....with that $200 you can get a SL55 intake instead.

I'd say lil or no gain over that mod.. Just get a stock K&N or Greenair filters and call it a day...

If you want CF airbox (bigger) it will set u back any where from $1000-2000.

I agree. This is either a cheap or expensive proposition--nothing in between. K&Ns or Green filters or the whole intake. Personally, I just went K&Ns and was done.

^+1....thinking of modding the stock air box a little-or just buy a VRP box-sound wont change on an NA car with the intake...thats only on forced induction you get the whistle

I know many of you have "modded" your airboxes by removing some of the fins inside.. does anyone have any pictures to show what they have done and if they experienced any gains?
