fuel injectors ?

Today i went to my mechanics, i found an S55 2000 and an E55 2000, so i decided to look at the fuel injectors:
S55: injectors color are blue, bosch nb 0280156074
E55: injector color are green, bosch nb 0280155839
i looked to my brother ML55 2001: same as E55
My c32 color is black nb 0280156072
So any idea about the difference?
Thanks.

Flow-I dont know the Bosch source #' off the top of my head-but its a matter of flow-my guess-S55 is something around a 850, E55 is a 700ish and the C32 is a 550-
Are you looking to upgrade?

What A/F are you currently runing now? If you upgrade them, please keep us post with result.

result of my search:
blue=0280156074=1130780349 = 259 cc/min
green=0280155839=1130780149 = 259 cc/min
black=0280156072=1120780349 = 412 cc/min (c32)

so we want more then 412 cc/min.

wow-thats low! I would have thought for sure 550's were in there! (My Evo X stock was pushing 550's-E85 guys are running a min 800-most 1000cc!)
I wonder if any of the AM S/C guys can chime in on fuel flow-I'd be intereseted to learn more about the C55/32 injectors set up, and fuel pump flow-good info Robert!

I think after search that supercharged AMG engines(c32, e55k) are runing with the 412
and Atmospheric ones are runing with 259.

SRT6
If your running a C32 which is the same engine as my SRT6 then you don't need bigger injectors. I run a LET 181 pulley, modified intake plenums, SL55 intakes and dual exhaust. On my dyno run I went 15.1-16 AFR at above 5400rpm. I was able to correct the lean issue by running a bigger Pierburg pump from the AMG SL55. My AFR after the pump was 11.7 with plenty of fuel left over, duty cycles were reduced from 86-88% down to 75%. It is not an injector issue it is the volume/flow of the factory pump. You have an in tank pump so you will need to find another in tank pump that flows 300-360 liters/hr or 73-95g/h, but still operates in the 3-5bar range or 45-75psi. Any AMG v8 in tank pump will probably solve your fueling issues.

Thanks Bulldogger for the info, same problem as yours: lean over 5400, i will work on finding a bigger pump. Do you have the OEM part number of the AMG SL55 pump?

Yes, here is the part number 0014706594. But remeber the SL55/SRT6/SLK-32 all have external pumps. You need Mercedes to cross reference this part to the identical/similar in tank style. Hope this helps, Dave

blast from the past!

so is the Pierburg pump the stock SL55 pump? would it also be possible to upgrade to a Walboro 255? is that compatible? or is that overkill?
