Major Issue C55 2005 AMG Any Help or Idea's
Hi Dan here I have a 2005 C55 with 125,000 miles my problem is when starting the car after 1 min or less the engine will surge up like I have tapped on the gas and it will do it several times, and when the car gets warm 10 minutes, later the engine idles very low and will stall out. it will stall at every traffic light. Here is the trick but after restarting the car 4 or 5 times everything then runs fine. all codes are working and no engine light is on but sometimes and even after the car has run for 2 hours I drive it allot it still will surge now and then and I have to keep my foot tight on the brake every stop its a strong surge the car will try to move or jump forward, any help on this issue I'm sure there are not that many C55 with 125,000 plus miles.

Thanks for the tip I'm getting all the ideas I can and will work with my mechanic in San Francisco he is baffled so far and we have not called the factory rep yet but he was going to today. We have replaced several sensors but it fixed nothing, but have not looked in your area of suggestion . Dan

Just to share...on the DOHC 4.6 Cobra, this was a common problem resolved by replacing the PCV Valve (easy, quick and cheap). They would get oil in them and get stuck.
Something to consider...unfortunately I am very new to these cars and haven't run through the gambit yet. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the tips nice picture better look in the garage looks just like mine Silver was not sure on the color when I picked it up my C55 and boy I'm happy really love the Silver color

I must say at 125.000 miles I am very impressed with the AMG boys and girls I really have had some fun here, it's a very strong 55 I have always wonderd if some are stronger than other's buy the builder? Are they really all the same or are some faster and it shows, mine is a scramer and have never had a problem till this month.
