engine troubles ahead ?

so ... i think i might get into troubles with the amg ...

yesterday evening, i went for a short ride, and after about a km or so, the engine started doing weird...

it was like it didn't get enough fuel or something. the engine behaved weird, the iddle rpm was going up en down. when i was braking and the car was almost stopped, it kept pushing forward when the rpm was on the highest point when going up en down..

so i was thinking what could the problem be ? one of the fuel-injectors ? fuel pomp not good ? air mass meter ? ...

i'm going to take it this week to the garage also, but it would be nice to know what could be wrong...

the car has about 30 000 km's and is from 2003 ...

Intercooler Pump, likely. Hard to follow your explanation, but if it runs fine for a while, then after driving a bit, if the IC pump is failing, it'll feel like its falling on its face (mine kind of jerked and just wasn't accerlating much at hard throttle)

i have read about the ic pump, but most claim at 60 to 80K miles, mine has just about 20K miles ...

however, it has it's age ... but would'nt it be a bit soon ?

yeah, the explanation could be a bit difficult to understand, im from belgium so my english isn't that good ...

It sounds like either a bad TPS or CPS sensor. It should not be too difficult for the mechanic to troubleshoot provided it is still doing it or it threw a code.

Don't wait for "one of these days". Get yourself a little OBD2 reader here:

I had the same symptoms. After researching on the forum I reseated the plug that connects to the throttle body. I also put a zip tie to secure it. I havent had any problems yet......
