Have you been in a C43 ever?? Im sorry but sitting in a c32 after getting out of my car is just totally different. I even had a few of my friends refer to the C32 as a "plastic car" The quality just isn't there, not even when compared to non amg W202s. I don't need to apologize to anyone, ask mercedes benz to apologize to you for selling you what has potential to be the worst AMG ever built so far
So apparently a c43 is much more luxurious and better built because its "hand built unlike the c32".

I think fellow w203'ers, its time to bring the pain.

I wouldn't. But i'd sure take a w204 c350

You very well do know that thread is going to turn into a 25page flame fest within days, cuz none of you guys are gonna back down. But I do admit the 335i is a faster car; it's just natural. Newer/better transmission to put power to the ground, underrated paper stats, less age on its side, etc...

But at the same time i do believe that a c43 CAN hang top end; when i ran against my friend's e90 335i from 30, he gained 2-3 carlengths from 30-80, and then he didn't go any further from 80-110 when we shut down. And that was BEFORE the dealership retuned his turbos to kick in at 3k rpm instead of 2k

.......PJ thank god I have my r class coz my c32 is so "little"......and is made of plastic......and is slow.......and not hand built........I've been taken a fool!!!

I BET MY C300 WILL BEAT THE 335i!!!it's a 4 matic i might add (more traction)

Its not plural. Its one person refusing to believe that a newer, more powerful car is faster than his c43, which is apparently superior in every shape way or form to a c32

I like the c43. I think it's a cool car. I had a w202 c280 sport. But to say that the c43 is superior in any way is a little ridiculous. The C43 had the same plastic boring cheap feeling interior that the c32 does except older. The only exception was the two tone seats and I think those were ugly.

I don't think the c43/c32/c55 have cheap interiors... If you think that's cheap, what do you guys make of the interiors in Camrys, Accords, and dare i say it, BMW's of the same generation?

2002 C32 1987 190E 2.3 334K miles and going
still luv my 'ol 190e

Everytime I get into my backup 87' 190e, I can't help compare the handling
of my C32 and this 23+ year old W201. I knew earlier on, I was not going to get any power from the 2.3 engine so I fitted it with aftermarket springs, Koni sport shocks and 16" Lorinsers for better and safer handling. The result is just unbelievable. I can imagine if I upgraded the sway bars.
To this day I'm still not completely confident of the C32 handling particularly when I occasionally go on canyon runs although I'm quite impressed with the braking power. The steering wheel goes slightly squiggly when I hit bumps.

In terms of build quality, here's my comparo test with the 190e. The 190e is rock solid, the doors shut close sounding like no other car manufacturer could replicate. After 23 years, hardly anything has fallen off in the interior. No rattles,
squeaks, even rust (this car has always been kept inside a garage) so the paint is still in great condition, hardly any fading. It's far from perfect but after 23 yrs and 335K miles, (CA to NY to FL and back) I can't believe this car still runs and looks as good as it does. Even my 16 year old can't wait to drive it around solo in a couple of months. yikes!!

started when bunch of us went ... good race and answered the OP's question that he thought the 335 was quicker/faster than C43.

and then someone didn't want to accept reality.

don't forget you suck at driving too cuz you can only manage similar time vs a 5.5L swapped W202.

I almost had to pipe in when he started commenting about keeping up with a W203 E55 at the beginning of a roll because of supercharger lag. Some people you just can't reason with....anyone who complains about supercharger lag would be one of them.

Didn't read the other thread, but this guy you're talking about is pretty clueless about MB's if he thinks a "W203 E55" even exists.

Thats a funny comment about the interior because my friend had a C43 and the only thing I didn't like about the car was the old ugly interior.

thats why superchargers are not good for drag racing because it takes too long for them to spool up
