A little help from you C55 Guys

Hello All,

I am a couple steps away from completing my dual exhaust. I have switched the rear sway bar to the CLK BS sway and the spare wheel well to the C55/CLK63. Now I want to go with aftermarket mufflers, but not sure what fits.

Have any of you C55 guys switched out your rmufflers to aftermarket?

If so what brand?

Thanks in advance.

bump, I'm actually interested in this too. Curious to see if anyone got a BETTER sound, not just a louder one.

Headers, shorties or long ones will work.

There is a thread about Chris Bachman putting a dual in/dual out dynamax in the place where the resonator was on a C32 then just running pipes back to each side with dual tips at the end... would save weight over dual mufflers.

That's true, but I'm really not looking to save weight. Just trying to save myself some trial and error finding out what mufflers fit back there besides OEM.

Yes I will be doing that in a couple days. Wanted to check here first, maybe I could avoid having to lift the car.

I'm not sure anyone makes aftermarket mufflers for the C55. I've never seen any if they're out there somewhere.

Every aftermarket exhaust i've heard for the 5.4 and the 6.2 liter doesn't sound as good as stock or stock minus cats/resonator.

if anyone knows about exhaust setups on the 55, its hooleyboy.

To the OP, shoot Hooleyboy or MBH Motorsports a PM about it and ask him.

I think Kleemann has some mufflers and tips for the rear. Try calling them.
