Can this be a intake leak?
Hi. I'm new here. I just purchased a 02 C32 AMG that I couldn't pass up. Thought I was getting a deal on the car but I'm finding issues with it. When I spool the super charger I hear a high pitched whistle. I'm finding out this is a leak. My question is where could this leak be coming from? What would I have to do to fix it?

I believe that the wistle is coming from the code3 style intake mod that the car has.. Nothing to worry about only an extra 8 whp..

It's the custom intake. Quite normal. I've seen the car you purchased on Youtube. Honestly I think the sound is awesome and normal.

It sounds kind of like a turbo whistle. It's only under low low boost. Maybe I can only hear it when I'm undr low boost and low rpm's.

Interesting, i have the code3 intake, when in low boost it sounds like a whistle with air being sucked in.. When you gradually increase the throttle at low rpms it kinda sounds like a police siren until the transmission changes gears.. When you punch the gas pedal it becomes a really loud whine and you can actually hear the throttle fully open sucking in air..

alright i found out what the exhaust sound was. it was lose collectors and i went over the header bolts also. problem solved. i still hear a high pitched whistle coming from the blower though. anyone?

I guess its close. I'm talking about right at the beginning of boosting. These cars seem to be designed to use the supercharger something like a turbo. When im heavy on the pedal the car sounds like a vacuum cleaner but with no high pitched whistle. ill make a vid of it soon.
