How to have C55 sound like C63?
I have noticed that the stock C63s are louder than the C55s. Anyone know why? What is the difference in the stock exhaust system? Is it the mufflers mainly?

I hope you are at least partly joking. One minor annoying difference between C55 and C63 is the big 6.2l engine in the C63. That is a little bit louder.

Our V8s are also pretty big engines and can sound really "beefy". I was just wondering the differences minus the displacement.

I think its primarily the exhaust since my Kleemann sounds like a C63, although I do have the header package as well. The C63 engine however, is an amazing piece!!

I heard a C55 with resonator delete and it sounded good! It would sound so much more menacing with secondaries deleted and headers I'm sure.

if you wanna loud, aggressive, and scary exhaust on a C55, go with hooley's old setup. he had true dual exhaust with his long tubes. i forgot if he had an x or h pipe, but u could PM him to find out. that thing scared the crap out of me when he drove me in it

The C55 exhaust sounds pretty good actually. Certainly its not as loud as the C63.

Of course, removing the resonator changes the sound and will make it louder
