2005 C32 4Matic - That's Not A Typo! :D
4Matic + ///AMG = Evil Grin

Here's the puny little 2.6L this 2005 C240 4Matic came with. This thing can't get out of it's own way and it has got to go!

There we go, now we're getting somewhere... 168HP -> 0HP Well it's not like it was much to begin with anyways.

That's the last we'll see of this engine. It's off to bigger and better things!!!

Look at this beastly thing. Is it really going in a 4Matic or is this some kind of cruel joke?

Look at the back of the transmission... HAHA!!! It's a transfer case... This really is a 4Matic!!!

Everything fits and is back together. You can even see the front driveshaft and how it's all snug as a bug in a rug.

At 349HP, we've more than doubled this car's horsepower which should make for some fun spirited driving!

Original C240 Badges? No reason to end up in the AMG poser thread. Plus they'll never even see it coming!!!

This build was planned out over the course of several months and when Marcin brought me onboard with Speedriven, we kicked this build off. It only made sense as when I was part of Accelerated Industries, we worked extensively with Marcin on the V8 conversions we did and it only seemed a good fit to join his team.

I've actually been driving the car around for some time now and so far so good. I am planning on doing more to it this spring and I probably will beef up the trans as a preventative measure when I start pouring the coals to it. It's a blast and on/off ramps have become drift rings when there's no traffic around.

That is definately cool as hell! I don't think I'd worry about the transmission, but the transfer case. Don't all 4Matics get teh 5G since it's known for being bulletproof?

As far as the transfercase is concerned, I have not been gentle with this thing and opening everything up for a spot check hasn't provided anything to be alarmed with. The .6 was used until '07 and then everything went to the .9 and while the 5-speed is a great trans, they aren't bulletproof so I will be doing some work inside to beef it up this spring when it comes to putting on the power adders.
nice upgrade. I was contemplating on doing this with my 4matic and buying a used kleemann s/c but wasnt sure if the t/c could handle the increased hp/torque. So ended up buying an E55 to compliment my 4matic. Good to see that you did it!!!!
My buddy's dad owns a W210 E430 4Matic. I figured an NA '55' motor would bolt up to that drivetrain, that'd be cool too - same idea as this swap, but with an older and larger car.

You're not the only one but sometimes ya gotta take matters into your own hands. As for the S4 race, the Merc pwns it until you hit a buck thirty, then the low gearing starts working against you but this thing should be psychotic in the 1/4!

Very nice and interesting project!! Are you planning to do other performance enhancing modifications like AMG brakes, suspension, etc, etc?
I used to have a C240.....thought about adding a Kleeman supercharger to spcie it up, but decided in the end to simply upgrade to a C55.
