C55: A maverik259 timeline
Well gents I figured it's probably time to start keeping record of all my mods since I just got the C55 a week ago. I didn't start mine for the c230k into i was almost a year in and I found myself struggling to remember everything I did and the order in which I did it, lol so here we go...
To kick us off I transferred a few small things over from the c230
1) Interior LEDs (you all know what they look like lol so no pics)
2) Digital HVAC from a 2007 C230 (at least I think that's the car it came from, found it on eBay about 3 years ago, lol)
3) 5.5 AMG fender badges
4) Aluminum background for the gauge cluster (had a c/f one for the c230 but I noticed all the other AMG seem to have the aluminum background except for the C so I figured I'd try it out and I actually do like it)
5) C63 paddle shifter mod
6) Secondary CATs and Res delete

What... rickets of the toes? Do you recall the part number on you digital A/C?
I've been looking for one but never pulled the trigger.. I would to rip it all apart to find out it doesn't work....
Modz look great btw.

I bought them from MB of Atlanta since they're close to me for I think around $100...maybe $115 shipped
and ya i know they look kinda low but I test fitted them all over the place and couldnt find a spot that looked OEM or like it wasnt some tacky add on piece that you see many ghetto guys do to they're chargers, cadillacs, etc. but ya like you said, not completely permanent but I doubt I'd really want to remove it any time soon, would ruin the 2 sided tape which means custom cutting some to match, and getting all the old goo off, lol...might just have to leave it for now

dct motorsports...and not a sticker, its an aluminum laser etched piece that replaces the plain one already in there...all you do is aim a heat gun at it for 30 seconds or so and put a straight edge razor into the seam and gently pry it out, came out easy as pie for me...but do be careful, that aluminum piece your removing will be very hot, so be careful what you place it on after you remove it, i wore gloves and wrapped it in a thick paper towel...

ya i'm gonna be gettin the exhaust done probably thursday or friday...then an ECU tune probably next pay check, then a TCU tune the paycheck after that...probably should buy that little cable thing they have since it would cost me $100 minimum alone to simply go to a dyno shop...after that probably a E or SL55 airbox with the kevlar intakes...probably will stick with factory air filters...haven't really heard too much of an amazing difference between the stock and greens/k&n so ya...after that not sure, maybe kleeman headers/another tune...im still trying to decide if i want to buy another set of rims but as 18" or not...i love my 19" on my c230, but i'm tired of the rough ride and VA roads blow donkey right now...maybe I'll wait a year and decide when I get stationed out in Cali...I would like slightly wider tires at least at some point, lol

oh also almost forgot:
7) MoBridge bluetooth/iPod interface added
-First impressions are not so positive, BT is great so far, called some people and they all said it was great. Install instructions were **** poor at best but I figured it out. Also got the nerve up to route the ipod cable under the center dash and up into the center console. Also like that you can hook an aux line up to it for friends that dont have ipod/iphone. and its A2DP capable too...system interface through the CD Changer is quite confusing at first...took me a solid hour just to figure out how to change a darn song or select a playlist, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it...they're directions are very generic and mostly BMW specific to be honest...but i have a feeling this will be s sytem where i learn something new every month haha

I hear you about the 18"s...my 19"s look great, but driving in Baltimore is like driving on the moon. Besides, after I get the drag racing bug out of my system, I really want to focus on road racing. Some 18" Forgestar's should do me just fine. What width tires are you running with the TSW's?
I assume you are Navy, if so, thanks for your service

Page 89 of the manual - press both lock and unlock buttons together for five seconds until the light flashes. Doing so should switch between the two logic patterns - global or selective lock/unlock.
