Best exhaust setup?

I just recently bought a stock c32. I dont really like the sound the car makes, and would like somthing more viscious/muscular. Whats out there for best looks and performance?

You think I'm upset? The point of saying there are 324 results from a simple search is to show you that there is a ton of information if you actually did search. Sorry it was so hard for you to understand. I'll try to be more simple next time.

I am trying to teach you to fish, instead of just giving you a McFish sandwich. In the long run, you will be a better poster because of it.

I would go custom personally; have someone local and worth a damn build you something. Universally-secondary cats and the resonator are the first to go.

Honestly, if your not going to say anything helpful quit posting. Your not helping the OP at all.

Do you know how many Mercedes models have "Dual exhaust"? How does that help at all?

Quit trolling.

Keep it simple............the C32 exhaust system is VERY good from the factory except for the restrictive exhaust manifolds. If you're on a tight budget for starters just have the secondary cats removed and the resonator at a local exhaust shop. You can probably do that for under $200. That will give you a little better flow and more of the sound you're looking for.

Now if you really want to open it up without doing a full custom exhaust, add some headers to that set up.

Good luck.

+1

I've had a few different exhaust set-ups can can definitely say deleting the secondary resonators and the resonator are the way to go.

It sounds awesome.

Let us know if you have any more questions down the road.

You first.

And who's trolling? Searching the forum comes up with a ton of threads on this exact topic.

Look at post #14 and then tell me about not helping the OP.

No hard feelings man, I just think you ought to be a bit nicer to our members sometimes.

If I am correct, the secondary cats are actually just resonators. They do nothing in terms of actual emissions.

But to answer your question, yes, the car will sound even better with the secondaries removed.

Maybe not federal but a shop that is certified for state emission repairs will not remove the cats.
Start saving for the headers. Rob from Needswings.com has a nice set.

I had the same thing told to me, really you just need to shop around and try different shops. I just had my resonator deleted and it gave it a nice deeper tone, especially with the revs up a bit. I was thinking of removing the secondaries but decided to keep them for now, since I purchased some Kleemann headers and this will automatically delete the primaries. This way i should still pass inspection if they do a visual...

Only issue is if you fail on visual. But thats rare. Actual emissions isn't an issue.
