Want to replace C32 SC pulley bearing
New to M-B (Saab and Volvos)
2002 C32 AMG
I've researched this and other forums, I think I've got a good handle on the specific part and how to change it, but looking at my pulley, there are hoses in the way. Can I loosen the brackets and just pull the hoses away a bit to get the pulley off?

Yes, fairly straight forward. Looks like you should maybe change the belt too. I used the oven / freezer trick for the bearing install.

I will replace belt and any other pulleys that need changing as well. What are those hoses in front? DIY info is lacking on this car compared to what I'm used to.
i will use freezer/oven trick. Was it as easy as it appears on the YouTube video?

Go to the bottom of this post and click "Code 3 pulley install.pdf":
It includes the first page showing the tubing you are questioning.

No problem. Pretty much most instructionals that you need in order to repair your car can be found within this forum. Searching can be frustrating, but eventually you will stumble upon what you need.
I just did this job last month. Everything was rusted and stuck but I managed to get the SC pulley off after some PB Blaster and a little struggle. I did not want to risk the oven/freezer trick not working because of the state that everything was in already giving me problems, so I did a google search for "machine shop". Call and ask if they can pack a bearing for you. Don't mention supercharger or they won't do it because they are afraid to touch them due to the cost if something goes wrong. They don't realize you are just bringing them the pulley so be sure to articulate that. It should cost anywhere from $10-$30 to pack it. The OEM bearing (make sure it is legit) can be found for $35 on the bay. Good luck!
