Help! C32 Transmission Gone - Can a Crossfire one be used for swap?
I have noticed rough shift lately with my C32 Transmission until a few days ago where the car would not drive as if it was in neutral even though the transmission was engaged. I would have to shut down the car and restart-it and then it would drive, I just can't go past first gear otherwise it would just stop moving forward. I suspect that my transmission is gone, fortunately the 722.6 is widely used across MB and Chrysler. I though of doing a swap with one from a 15K miles 2005 Crossfire. Could someone confirm is these are interchangeable? If not, can I use any automatic W203 transmission from 2002-2005 or I can only use one from a C32. The guy mentionned about valve body being vin-locked? Please help!

The transmission will bolt in but your conductor plate will need to move from your current transmission to the new one.
That plate sits on top of the valve body. That stuff unbolts from the bottom once your have the pan off. It does not require full transmission disassembly.
There's a chance that your conductor plate is part of the trouble you're having now. New plates must be coded when they are installed.

What year is the C32? My C55 transmission used to act up, going into Limp Mode and being stuck in 2nd gear. I changed out the conductor plate and wiring harness plug (under $200 overall) and haven't had an issue since. And I drive it very enthusiastically.

No VIN locking on the 722.6.
There may be internal valve body differences between the chrysler versions and the C32, that I don't know.
As the guy above me said, I would start by replacing your conductor plate and harness plug, as that is often the cause of the issue you're seeing. The rest of the 722.6 is very good, and quite durable.

Thank you guys for all the help. It seems like that the plate conductor is the culprit. I bough a code reader and these are the codes thrown:
P2600 The voltage supply of circuit 87 has under voltage
P220A the speed comparison of Y3/6n2 to Y3/6n3 is Implausible
P2222 the signal of component Y3/6b1 (transmission oil temperature sensor) and or Y3/6s1 (starter lockout contact) is implausible
P2502 the gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping
I did a full ATF flush a few months ago as I had the Valeo radiator and and I specifically asked the indy to replace the connector as they are known to leak. So if I'm not mistaken, it probably leaked and ruined my conductor plate? Now I wonder if my TCU is flooded with ATF as well, though I have never seen a single drop of oil on the floor. I hear a whining noise when pressing the gaz on cold start. After a while the noise goes away. The car is a 2003 one but was built late 2002 and has only 90K miles.
Hopefully some people can shed more light
UPDATE: further research are indicating a ruined torque converter causing that whining noise. Can this happen in a span of 6 months? Full flush was done 6 months ago.
So this is my plan:
- check transmission filter to see if there are any metallic debris - replace torque converter
- check conductor plate if flooded with ATF - replace conductor plate
- check TCU if flooded with ATF - clean

Got the car back 2 days ago. TCU was clean and the filter was clean as well. Conductor plate was replaced with a new one all was fine until today the check engine light came back and tranny started acting again in the same way. I don’t know what to do now. I had to tow the car a second time.

Apparently I have to replace the whole transmission, my mechanic said that the coolant contamination probably shortened the life of the transmission...
