Fellow C32 owers, it's time to say "good bye" & sell some stuff...

Well, after today I will no longer own a C32 AMG. I've decided to switch it up and get an E55, which I'm picking up this afternoon. The C32 is a great car, but I change cars like they're going out of style. Hopefully, I'll keep this E55 for a long time.

On a better note, I have a few items from the C32 to sell. I'll be taking some pics within the next couple of days. I have the following to sell (I will post in the classifides once I'm ready):

*REAL* CL Expression Grill (includes the bar, painted black but can be changed to any color obviously). This isn't the cheap eBay imitation or wannabe $200 grill, this is the real deal. Asking $450.00.

18" HRE 547's (will fit C-Class, CLK-Class, AMG included). I just had these totally refinished to 100% like-new. This cost me over $1100 to do and I didn't have them mounted on the car for the winter. These are a $5000+ rim if bought from HRE, I'm asking $2800+actual shipping.

If interested, please send me a PM and I'll send you pics once they're taken.

Actually, I've been thinking of doing the exact same thing.....upgrading to an E55. What kind of deal did you get?

Congrats on the new car. It's on my wishlist in a few years when they cost a bit less as well.. Maybe 3-4 years and I'll pick a E55 up to go with the C32.

On a side note, can you post pics of the HRE's? I may be interested in them.

Pretty decent, I think.

2004 C32 -- 6k miles $45k trade-in
2003 E55 -- 10k miles w/ extended warranty $70k

$25k difference is pretty good. The $70k is a high retail on the car (should be upper $60's) but the $45k trade-in is high on my car (should be lower $40's), so it evens out.

The E55 has a bunch of options I've never had either, Keyless Go, Active Ventilated Seats, Drive-Dynamic Seats with Multicontour Seatbacks, plus some others that I have had (Xenon lighting, CD Changer, etc). It's pretty much loaded out since the 2003's didn't have NAVI has an option. I think I can live without NAVI until I decide to purchase an aftermarket system.

Mike (and everyone else),

Here's a pic of the wheels on the car before I took them off to get refinished. Like I said earlier, I will be taking some detailed pics so you can see how beautiful these HRE's really are. Also, the CL grill is on the car that I'm also selling:

18" HRE 547: 18x8.5 (front) & 18x9.5 (rear)

Congrast on the E55! Any plans for the E55?

I love those cars and hopefully once the lease runs up on the A4 - I'll get one in a few years.

So far, I've decided to:

1. Leave the grill alone.
2. Flat emblem on hood.
3. Euro impact strips.
3. 19" HRE's of some kind (in the near future).

Nothing performance-wise yet, but K&N Filters...

Congrats ! Great man !! That's greatest news , I am sure you will enjoy the wild lion (if C55 is a wild horse)

cnt
p.s.
E55 - here sells 160-165K+ , may be a dream to me forever, not say the 467 hp fuel consumption would be a fortune here. If I can spend this money one day, it will be a 997 for weekend and keep my Honda Accord for day2day. But that would never have that " combined fun " like our C55 or your E55.

Wow! A $15,000 hit in less than one model year and 6,000 miles!! Why were the wheels refinished? It looks like they are not the R model.

Where do you get that my car was $60k MSRP? The sticker was $53000 and I paid $49000, which doesn't equal $15k. They gave me $45k because they were asking $70k on the E55 (which was high). So basically, these two offset. Try thinking before you post next time.

Yes, these aren't the 547R's, did I say they were or something?

Picked up the E55 this evening and put a few miles on it. Jeez, I love this car but still do miss my C32. Too bad it's raining here or I would give this beast a much needed "test".

Thanks Frank for the comments! The bi-xenon went with the car, I didn't have time to take them off or else I would have. Oh well...I'm sure a pair will turn up here sometime soon, they always do.

I could not believe you still want bi-xenon...
your black nose is cute enough.
E55 is tempting but I have not done enough milege on the C55 to appreciate its true power. Only touched 176kmh once :p

If you really do still miss your C32, I'd be happy to help out a fellow member by trading you straight up for your 'new' E55. It's the least I could do.

Man, my fellow members of MBWorld coming through with another nice gesture! I think I need some seat time in the 55 before I'm ready to give it up. :p

Time to change the signature...

The 547R has a reverse lip. Which means it has a straight lip. The 547 has what looks like a step lip.
