CF interior sections

Got a few pieces back. The pictures came out crappy for some reason I couldn't get them to focus, maybe the 3-D look and shine of the CF throws off the auto focus functions???

So I've got the entire center section minus the ash tray which is a tricky piece so far. I still have to remove the door trims and the long dash board trim below the windshield.....(anyone know how to remove the windshield one???).

The thickness of the sections are a little more now but the fitment is perfect. They are only about a CD thickness more than the stock wood sections. The originals were used and the CF was applied as an overlay. The clear coat is perfect and even and the triming of all pieces looks OEM. I got luck and I'm very happy with it. I will post pictures of the whole interior in a few weeks once it's all done and put back. I fabed up a nice CF panel to house my boost and IAT gauge that will replace the phone data panel above the ash tray.

Good work, Nitro! The pieces look really good! Can't wait to see the rest.
Yeah, CF is very hard to take pics of. Try it with natural light, no flash and focus on a glare from the clearcoat and/or weave.

To remove the center piece, pry the RIGHT side end with a plastic wedge careful not to hurt your dash. The wood piece is pretty strong so you can pry it out just enough to get a finger in there and pull firm slightly outward and to the RIGHT. That should do the trick. Hope that helps!

You guys are gonna hate this answer but it was a trade in services. Alot of my work is personal training and I swapped him the work for some free time. I think the materials will end up costing me around $100-200.

He does my CF, and I beat the **** out of him 3 days a week for a month.

If you guys want I can ask him how much time he thinks he will have into it. I've given him $845.00 in services which cost me only time. He jumped on that so it's probably a few hundred in labor. ?????? I guess???????

Looks good Wes, I guess you are going to keep that car forever. You are making me want to start fixing up my car. Keep up the good work.

I had another C class that had the fake CF interior. It was honestly embarising. It was a painted checkerboard with a little fading here and there to attempt a CF look. One of the worst things I've seen MB go for. If you ever see it you'll know what I mean.

That would be sweet if you could find out the price. I bet we could get a group buy going here if it wasn't too spendy.

Yeah, gonna keep the car forever I hope. I know if I ever get rid of it I will always miss it. It would be cool to have this car in my garage all shined up when I'm 40.

....and yes, I want you to take better care of that car Mario!! I mean really, that car is a sick and classy vehicle and will be for some time to come. I knew the mini would get in the way, *****!!!

You leave the Mini out of this! lol She is getting built right now with oversized JE pistons, balanced/blue printed, Quaife diff and new racing clutch.
I'm still up in the air about my Benz. All my friends and even my girlfriend said to keep it. I need about 5k more to make it the way I want.

Let me get my whole interior finished up. I'll take a ton of "good" pics and you guys can decide if your serious. From there I will probably make my buddy come on here and duke it out with you guys. He is reasonable. The quality is 100%. I'll ask him about the silver CF this weekend.
