guys,some kid over on the w210 forum says he has a L6 banger that will do 163mph and be a length behind a C43amg at 120mph,I always thought the C43amg was quick,you guy's been sand bagging it,or what?

C43 is quick, as is Tom's E320. It's been worked on so that its a 3.6L engine...we've raced and its true, his car is really fast...and as much as everyone on the forums thinks he's full of ****...well hes not.

Bench racing gets annoying very quickly. Everyone either has, or knows someone who has, a faster car/bike/fighter jet. If TommyGunn is making claims on the W210 forum that aren't true, well then out him over there. He hasn't caused any issues over here that I am aware of and we like our quiet, friendly little corner in the MBWorld.

Secondly, the C43 really is not that quick. I would expect a decently modified 6 cylinder to not have too much trouble staying close. My Eclipse only needed a boost controller and a fuel pump upgrade (probably didn't even need that) to blow through the quarter mile a full second quicker than a stock C43. I've also not seen any reason to question Jared and if he has personally seen how quick the E320 is, then I'll take his word for it.

As we move higher up in speeds, then the C43 will start to come into its element. It might be interesting to see the 320 go against a 43 from 80-150 mph.

I'm not trying to start anything or call you out OhLord, I'm just saying that some e-fight from another area is spilling over into our area and we'd prefer more civil discussion.

all that i have said about my e320 vs a c43 are that froma 60-110 run is. from 60-80 i'll jump ahead, but from 80-110 i'm about a car legenth behind.

Tommy's motor can't be confirmed unless we see the serial #. You don't know for sure that it's a 3.6L from a C36.

Has Tommy raced Jon's C36 yet? Just curious.

If Tommy's car is faster than Jon's then I'll say he can run with or beat Jared's C43. I wanna be there when you guys stg these runs. It's hard for me to believe all this stuff. Too bad I'm taking the insurance and plates off my basically stck 99 M3,so I can put the talon back on the road. I'm reading too many claims here that don't seem to add up since I've owned a C43 with the original motor.

I just gotta witness this all for myself.
If I can get Curtis to bring out his C43 we'll have to see if Jon's C36,or Tommy's E320 could run with it. Then Advan's car will be next against curtis's C43. I'm definitely gonna put my M3 back in the mix some day.

PS Tommy I am going to bring a mirror so I can source the serial # off your engine so that the assumptions can be settled.

When I ran Jareds c43 w my c36 from a 60-130 he was only a car ahead. 0-100mph run length of a 1/4 mile its too close. Considering the c43 has 302hp vs c36s 268hp I'm shocked. Both cars lbs the same. Forget about street racing lets all go to the track this fall.
