I think $10k is a fair price... Hell, if this was closer to December I'd take it off your hands!
What generation M3 are you lookinmg at?

You
will be lucky to get $7000 cash.Keep it,enjoy it,the C36 looks timeless while the M3 already looks very dated. If you do decide to sell it,better do it quick and get your pricing down where it needs to be.Otherwise you will be sitting on it for a long time and watch the price dip into the 6's.

Yeah, unfortunately all the w202 AMG's have taken a serious dump in the last couple of years. I would agree that 10k is probably a bit steep for the market, as you can get lower mileage examples for 7-8k most places. A real no-**** 20k mile minter could probably pull 10k w/ the right buyer, but that would be a wait for sure...

I can't believe you guys are selling your C36's so cheap...
I bought a W202 C230 with 73k miles for $8k in March of this year.
Values for my car were between $10-12.5k in KBB and NADA. Local values (DFW) were going for about $9k at the time.

'98 C43 AMG. Obsidian Blk w/2 tone slvr/blk interior
rust is only a problem if you live north of NC. there are alot of nice cars in NC SC GA and FL.
have you actually seen the effects of rust from salty roads? my C43 came from NY and theres hardly any oxidation on any of the bolts along the exhaust system and undercarriage. my friend bought a e46 m3 that also came from NY and at half the age with half the miles the undercarriage looks 5 times as bad. you just gotta look at them and see how much of the elements they have endured in their lifetime.

thanks guy, but i can't afford
2 AMGs. everything for AMG/Mercdes is really expensive.
i think if i see a nice C43(Black on Black) i'm gonna get it but i'm not sure about the power of C43. i've droven CLK430 and it was slow
i did not like that V8,i thought that thing will be Fast as hell but i was wrong (my C36 could eat that thing).anyways i have to look.

This has been discussed ad nauseam but yes, the m113 V8 in the C43 is more powerful, and much more torquey. Low end pulling power that you didn't have in your C36, still pulls hard up top like you were used to. I haven't driven a CLK430 for comparison, but trust me, the C43 is every bit as fast as your old C36, and you can get more out of it in daily driving.
