Nice car, but this is BS:

Over 240HP
EVEN faster then M3

An M52 (328i) with every mod possible still doesn't equal an M3 on the dyno. I've seen M52 E36 BMWs with header, full exhaust, M50 intake (OBD 1 conversion), cams, and performance software that still aren't at S50 M3 levels. The 325 has a 189 HP M50, your buddy is claiming that a chip and intake provide 60 HP?

A single street race does not make it faster than an M3. Auto vs manual, passengers, driver skill, it can all make a huge difference. And no way in hell does it have 240 HP.

Sure, I've only had a 325i and a 540i. Call me a moron, but I'm not the one claiming a chip and intake add 50 HP to a normally aspirated 2.5L motor. Hanging with a 240 HP car during an informal street race doesn't mean you have 240 HP.

Is that even english?

Pity he didn't go with a header too, that would have had him chasing down E46 M3s.

Yes, that's obviously the issue here.

Just one last beating of a dead horse though. A Turner Motorsports chip (one of the best) is worth 22 HP per their web site. So he must have a pretty impressive cold air intake to pick up another 30 HP. Not that I expect you to admit your ignorance, because you are obviously much smarter than I.

I do know that most Hondas and Toyotas come with more power than that these days- it isn't a real important argument

Having owned one, yes it is. Crappy interior too. Still a blast to drive though, BMW steering is absolutely subliminal.

none
I've got a 94' 325i convertible for sale in Simi Valley, CA open for offers. It is white with black top, M3 body kit, a bunch of nonsense mods like intake, chip, etc..BBS knockoff wheels. The car needs a head gasket....If anyone has an 3.2M3 motor kicking around it would be a great car/project for it.

PM me if anyone wants pics

Without dyno plots, the claim of any HP rating on any modified car is mute.
