New exhaust for the C43?
So it appears my primary cats are disintegrating as I have a chunk rattling around in my muffler (REALLY ANNOYING). At first I was going to get a full stock exhaust installed by MB but was quoted an UNREAL amount for the whole exhaust set up, $3,200 . I decided that was just WAY too much plus it included the secondary cats and resonator which I have already had removed and am not interested in getting re-installed to have them removed again. So I am wondering if there was any experts out there with knowledge of a FULL exhaust system for the C43. I am looking for something similar to the AMG sound, quiet when I am just cruising around but a real BEAST when I open her up. It wouldn't hurt if it added a little hp as well. I'm looking for a setup that would include headers, cats (just primaries), and muffler. Please enlighten me if you know of one.......

Good idea, but few comments on here except to remove secondary cats and middles expansion chamber. I know that Supersprint make some stuff but can't vouch for it.

Looks like they make mufflers and what appears to be a resonator (I could be wrong), I am looking for a FULL exhaust setup. I found a company called eisenmann which looks promising but I can only find exhaust for the regular C-class, no C43. There is another company called meisterschaft but again I am having a hard time finding an exhaust for the C43. Can anyone chime in here?

I'm sure you are correct as far as HP goes but I would assume that you would be dropping some weight as well. Either way NOTHING is too good for my baby, I want nothing but the BEST (within reason )

Ah, the magic word: KIT
I know where you can get a custom kit made. Something where they send you a bunch of joints. You put them on your engine. Tighten the joints to lock them in place when they fit. Then send it back. The manufacturer then uses the joints to build the headers EXACTLY as the joints laid them out.
Stainless Headers dot com
Now the rub. You have to know something about airflow. Tubing diameter, primary lengths, collector angles . . . . . Stainless only builds what you tell them and I have seen and written about headers that did not perform as well as factory log pipes. Here's a hint - PAY someone to tell you the specs on their <name brand goes here> headers.

503C43 AMG went missing. Probably went to the Stainless website, saw what they offer, and passed out.
He'll wake up in a little while. Probably with a huge smile.

Hey man, if you hit your head when you passed out, don't blame me. I just pointed you in that direction. No one forced you to stare at that exhaust ****. You know, like this home grown header for a viper dual turbo kit. Just look away. . . . . . if you can . . . . . . she does have nice welds. . . . . shapely curves that slip into that tight Viper physique . . . . . . whoops there he goes again . . . . . . . passed out. When you wake up, put a helmet on before going to that site.

^^ WOWOWOWOW talk about CUSTOM!!! Unfortunately I know very little about the correct specs needed How is it possible that no one makes a kit of some sort that is a COMPLETE exhaust system??? I know I could piece one together (i.e. kleeman headers, race cats, eisenmann muffler with someone cutting and welding custom piping in between but again I am looking for something that is PROVEN (on a dyno preferably) and specifically MADE for the C43. I would think SOMEONE out there has this for sale??

Unfortunately you're talking about a total production run of less than 1500 samples, of which maybe 5% or less would be interested in an aftermarket exhaust. So perhaps 75 people would be interested and then the cost to develop and manufacture that would make the total exhaust at least $4k and suddenly nobody is interested, etc.
Absolutely nothing bolts onto the C43 unless it is:
A.) Made to fit other Mercedes models
B.) Incredibly expensive

I have still been researching exhaust for the C43 here are a couple vids I have found for magnaflow mufflers.... They sound pretty good, I haven't priced them out yet but I am going to compare the price and performance gains (if any) to the stock AMG muffler. I love how the stock muffler sounds as well as the AMG tips but I think it is around $500 just for the muffler, but if it turns out there are no gains with other mufflers then I will probably buy a new OEM AMG muffler.
Here are a couple vids of the magnaflow:

Quick question: Kinda sounds stupid but here goes: Is it street legal to remove the secondary cats and resonator? I just want to know the implications if you removed the secondary cats and resonator just in case I need to have the car smogged again in the future for DMV renewal purposes. Thanks guys for the info!

No. Per the feds, not only can't you remove the cats, you can't even *legally* change their position. IE, move them further down the exhaust stream. Nobody cares about the resonator. That is, unless you live next store to me and regularly get home at 2:00 AM.
