Who has an old stock head unit laying around?
So I want to keep the stock radio in my car with a working tape deck. I like using the ipod this way. I know, i know! Im old school but I just like it for some reason. Anyone have an old one laying around in working condition? If so let me know!

it's the redesigned front on 99 instead of the 98's ugly front display

FM Transmitter
They sell FM transmitters at most mass merchant stores like Target, Radio Shack & Wal-Mart, as well as online retailers. Decent FM transmitters run in the $20-35 range. The way these work is by plugging the supplied 1/8th cord into the headphone jack on the iPod or MP3 player. Then on the FM transmitter you can select a FM channel. Tune your car stereo to the corresponding FM channel and you should be able to hear your iPod or MP3's through the airwaves. This option needs power for the transmitter to work.
If you're lucky and have a couple of extra dollars, you can invest in a charger that powers both your MP3 player and FM transmitter. Some FM transmitters have battery options for power as well. This option is capable to have audio dropouts if you drive very far and radio stations change. It's best to choose a station that isn't being used for broadcast.

Oh no. Sorry. I wanted a new unit because the display on mine is trashed. I went a head a got the 1999 updated style deck. The ipod sounds like junk with the tape deck anyway. Ill just search around for a Dice adapter for our cars later. Cd changer is still working great. Thanks for the idea though, I had one of those here in Dallas a year back and it would never work right... Always broke up really bad in downtown where I live.

No. I want to keep it original inside the car. Only thing I will change is the wood trim to mat CF later down the line.
