A few random questions

1) What do you guys use to repaint/redye the white leather on the steering wheel (for designo interiors). Can I get a paint/dye from the stealership?

2) Anyone know how to access the bulb array in the sunvisor? I can't seem to get to it without breaking something.

Too pricey for me, but it's my daily driver so I can't just simply rip off the wheel...

I'm looking for paint/dye suggestions, rather than service suggestions.

A high

quality cover might be the best short term solution.

Maybe I should clarify how much I'm willing to spend for restoring the wheel: <$100. I'm a college student.

Nobody has any paint/dye info?

Having done so many seats that I've lost count, I know a little about about dye. For $60 or so (the dye is only $35), you could do your entire interior at least 3 times. If you're just doing a steering wheel, plan on having a lifetime supply of leftover dye. You could do the wheel and two-tone seats and you'd still have a ton of leftover.

Nice! You wouldn't happen to know a good place online to get that dye (and even better, the exact color for white designo)?

From the factory, are the steering wheels dyed or painted? Because from the wear, it looks like the factory painted the wheels. I can't see dye being "worn off." Not sure if I should go with dye or paint (if that even exists for interiors).

The links at my webpage go directly to suppliers. I use Color Plus for supplies. Color Plus can get you factory colors and they also custom mix colors.

Almost all leather is painted.

If you dye it, you'll have to strip it first.

Bump regarding my second question that went unanswered.

I finally figured out what LED bulb I needed for the vanity mirrors and ordered them; they came in today. I still don't know how to easily access the bulbs.

Anyone happen to know, before I break something?
