This is a very niche car, like most AMGs. I had a 2001 CLK55 AMG, with 41k on it. It took almost 8 months to sell. I priced it as the lowest W208 CLK55 with low mileage in the country. Low supply of these vehicles, but also low demand. In retrospect, I wish I would have kept it. It was in fantastic shape and had extremely low miles.

Now throw in the high mileage and older model year. You have very little demand. It is going to take time to sell it. Also, chances of selling it on here are slim. I would recommend putting it on autotrader if you have not already done so. You should take better pictures as well and I recommend you get the hood painted. That alone would make me not interested.
Ill make either of you guys a deal i will pay half the shipping if you buy the car this week lol
1999 Volvo S70. Base model. All original. 151,500 miles. Listed on a Houston based photo forum Nov. 14. $4,000. Shown on Nov. 16 at 6pm. Sold on Nov. 18 at 1pm to the same person.
The big difference between my online listing and yours are the photos. My car is in great condition and I proved it online. Get better pictures. Try getting things in focus. Proper color rendition helps a lot too.

I couldn't help but notice you were missing the tow alarm, I don't mean to be nit picky but the ad says "fully optioned".

btw, i'm just spitballing here, but was the tow alarm available on the 98? seems like it wasnt, judging from the lack of a dummy panel...
The C43 is a specialized car. Cars dot com, E-bag and Craig’s list are basic transportation sites. You may find a buyer there, but you’re just as likely to find someone looking a Kia. If I were looking for a specialized Benz that probably wasn’t going to be found on an MB dealer lot, first I’d check with the largest MB Club in the US. Then Hemmings. Then I’d start checking "other" places – forums and basic transportation ads.

No doubt it would raise the price of the vehicle but not by much and I think it would make the car look like it was worth more, possibly make it easier to sell...
Second, take better, higher res pics. All your photos are somewhat grainy in appearance and don't do justice to the paint or interior.
Finally, consider listing the car in a broader area like Los Angeles. The west coast is euro-car heaven and has a greater number of AMG aficionados outside of Germany. Use craigslist to keep the cost down and be prepared to help the buyer with shipping.
In my opinion, 163K miles isn't squat for a german-built motor. It appears that you've already handled many of the maintenance items so the wow factor should come from the cars driveability.
Good luck.
PS Youtube is also a good place to post a "For Sale" video showing the car in action. $5k for German-built 300hp/300ft-lbs ?!?! This is a no-brainer kids!
