Brake disc C36, is it hard to DIY ?

alright, I need to change my disc on my car, I would also do the Pads. But I mainly need them in front.

First question : should I do the 4 in the same time ?

also : is it hard to do by yourself and is there any video's that could help ?

Thanks

Not hard to do it yourself. Get a Brake Pad tool (one that pushes the pads apart this way you can put the caliper back on) you will also need an allen wrench.

And probably a rubber mallet. Its also a good time to change your bearings while you have the rotor off Very simple however, just release the caliper first, then take off the rotor, exchange parts, and reverse.

Why do you need to change the bearings after only two years since the last time? Not unless you have done some MEGA miles
Not necessary to do the rears at the same time. That is a pitta to do and best get done by a pro

I thought about Putting Regular Brembo Front disct and Akenobo Pads. Is it a good combination ? I don't want high performance brakes but still I want go durable ones.

Any other suggestions ? *I don't have infinite budget either*

I imagine that with Brembo rotors you should not have any problem either. Don't forget that they are a world leader in the brake domain

oh and is there any difference between US and Europeen models ? because I see sometimes written : For EU or US

but as far as I know 1996 C36 are the same everywhere.

Also I saw 2 different Brembo Disc : one with
5 lugs
288 mm disc diameter
25 mm thickness
22.4 mm minimum thickness
46.5 mm height

and the other with :

5 lugs
316 mm disc diameter
28 mm thickness
25.4 mm minimum thickness
46.5 mm height

both fit ?

288mm is the rotor size for the rear, 316mm is the rotor size for the front.
