Nah, C43, W210 E55, and W208 CLK55 all use sliding 2 piston calipers on the front. Here is a link and the attachment has a picture of a 2002 CLK55 front caliper. You can all walk out to your garage and verify that the C43 has a two piston sliding front caliper. And hopefully you can just take my word for it on the E55. The 4 piston fixed caliper front brakes accompanied the arrival of the C32 and W209 CLK55.

PS: Yes, the C36 has four piston fixed as well. They are different between the C36 and C43.

As in, four pistons on the side that faces you? Or are you assuming that there are two pistons on each side of the brake caliper?

W202, W208, and W210 all use same calipers as most have posted above. I checked the WIS before I posted to make sure I wasn't posting erroneous info...
I wonder what makes ProjectC55 think otherwise

I guess I was wrong about the w208 clk55 but the CLK430's w208 I have seen with the 4piston calipers so I guess I assumed the 55 was the same.

Since the 2k car was a little different than the 98 and 99 C43 , meaning Rims and tranny ,I wonder if that was the only C43 with 4 pistons if in fact it had 4 piston calipers that year only?

The 96 to 97 C36 have two piston calipers while the 95 has 4 caliper pistons. Wierd thing is I've seen some CLK430's with 4 caliper pistons as well. I thought theree were some CLK55's with them but now I wonder if it was an option. I've seen alot of pics with CLK55 W208's with the 2 piston calipers. I was just checking it out.
I guess I was wrong about the w208 clk55 but the CLK430's w208 I have seen with the 4piston calipers so I guess I assumed the 55 was the same.

I believe the earlier (?) c36's where different than the 43 in the brake area with smaller 4 piston calipers, but I stand to be corrected.
