Part identification?

Could someone help me identify this part? I'm guessing it is the pcv valve but I may be wrong. I need to replace the gasket between this part and the valve cover. Any help is appreciated.

Thx

Hi Zayed,

The full metal cover with the hose attached to it. The other end of the hose connects to the MAF sensor. Thx

The gasket used to seal the breather to the valve cover is a black sealing compound PN 003 989 982 010 comes in a 50ml tube around $18 should be enough to do both breathers.

When I did mine I took pictures of the PN of both breathers..
Driver side = A113 016 02 05
Passenger side = A112 016 05 05

I have resealed these covers multiple times. The only way to stop the leak is to get the sealing area shiny clean with a wire brush before you reseal it.

I never apply sealant to the rubber gasket, this is not needed at all and Mercedes does not recommend doing this.

Thanks for the confirmation! What works best for removing the sludge on the area the gasket sits on?

Is it recommended to replace the valve cover bolts with new ones or can you reuse the same bolts? Thx

Thanks for the clarification. I've read that many recommend replacing them as they can potentially break when torquing them to spec a second time. I don't want to run into any problems. Cheers

Just a little FYI. The (5) aluminum bolts are NOT reusable. There are 2 on the passenger side breather cover and 3 on the driver's side breather cover. They are replaced by newer stainless steel bolts. Part# 000000004436.

Cheers
