Interesting idea and probably similar concept to the fancy carbon boxes made by ?? (can't remember the name) which cost a fortune if you can find them... I may try this during the winter when the c43 finally goes into hibernation mode. Can you believe I was driving around today on dry rain washed roads... No salt, no winter in the weather forecast either!!

I could have also raised the front part of the "roof" but would of been more work. Might have been better performance though but what i did it's great and I'm satisfied.
If you do this make sure you have long cutting wheels so you can get to the inner parts as much as possible. You will run into some " now what" moments but you will figure it out.

Btw, if you look at the picture that shows the air filters. Look at the back where the maf is, the round mesh. See how the mesh touches the ecu wires? You have to remove the plastic cover in order for the modded Airbox to fit. Once the plastic cover is off the harness rest under the Airbox with no issues. You can cover it with plastic wire cover or whatever to help keep the heat away. The picture shows how it fits AFTER the top roof was raised.
Hood closes perfectly.

what is the best way to contact you ? I have 2018 c43 , and am very disappointed with the bms design. thanks in advance my email is kylearmour@live.com
BTW I have his enlarged airbox since some time now and can confirm it really frees up the engine making it breath sooooo much better all across the rev band

I will say that the Speed43 products are well worth the money. I had purchased the air box and elbow for my 55 swapped C43 and it really woke up the motor.
not only are the products great, but the customer service is also excellent.
highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. I don’t know Speed43 personally, I’m just speaking from a customer perspective.
