2020 C63s AMG Coupe
Funny enough, as we are having this conversation today, my dealer just called to tell me that my car is on a ship that left Europe a few days ago. It is scheduled to arrive in the Port of Los Angeles near the end of September, and I should have my car by the end of September! That's at least a couple weeks ahead of schedule. Fingers crossed for smooth sailing.

Congrats man, ahead of schedule is always good.

In other news, I am pretty close to calling my sales associate and *****ing up a storm. Don't understand how I ordered on day 1 and somehow my car is a month behind others?

That's crazy. It sounds like your SA was delayed in getting the order in with MB (maybe through no fault of their own, but maybe they were slacking...). Or maybe some specific option on your order created the delay (HUD?).

Maybe this will give you negotiating power to drop the price some?

You can be an ignorant, but really? How come a guy who's selling this machines can be so stupid?? I'm writting down a quite profuse list of all the stupid things, lies and twists he has told me until today, and the day I have the car as I want, then I'll post it and we'll have a laugh.

Congrats , nice pictures , is that polar or diamond white ? Do you have the performance exhaust ? In Canada , performance amg exhaust , amg steering wheel and rims all in one package .
I ordered a diamond white coupe 2 days ago estimated delivery is end of December , I think they are ruing late with production.

Thanks! That's the Diamond bright Designo, but you need a fine equipment and better hands to be able to show it in a picture, which it's not my case

Maybe you can perceive it better in this pic, but the color is really amazing in the flesh

And my exhaust is the stock one, they didn't even told me I could go for the switch. It doesn't have the nice popping that the C450 loaner I drove had. I'm claiming that to my dealer, let's hope a different software can bring it back. No packages in my country, you can order every extra alone, kind of.

can you tell me how the AMG in the front grill is on? Is it connected somehow, or built into the grill. I believe it will be a separate part number like it is on the C63 that can be ordered.

Can't assure it to you right now, but I will look at it tomorrow. I'd say it's a separate part.

Anyway, I think I've read in this forum you can ask the dealer to rebadge your 450's if you please.

ahhhh close to the c63 part number, that one is A 205 817 4700

Thank you for that Vipershade... Do you know part number for the bracket? Or will it show accessory at my dealer?

I found it on ebay, WAY more money than the c63 one... WHY?

See below:

Product Features
Enrich the C 450 / C 43 AMG diamond grille with the AMG logo.

The AMG lettering is suitable for retrofitting.

The logo is screwed into the radiator grille, the required screws are included.

Yeah I faintly recall him saying he could get a mid August production without a HUD and a 9/3 production with one. I thought 9/3 meant September 3rd at the time, not the ****ing 3rd week of September, so I said I was cool with it. I was working at the time and only half paying attention lol

No opportunity to negotiate a better deal, I'm already getting 10% plus fleet off.

$138... Ouch.

Here is the bracket: A 205 545 61 00

So I found these parts while I was tracking down parts for "Surround View/360 Camera System." When checking availability, the AMG plate (which was referred to as "Model Plate") and the bracket were both unavailable. This might be the reason for the inflated price, that ebay item is probably coming from Germany. I wonder if it has the bracket?

https://www.kunzmann.de/shop/en/tuni...e-original.htm Here is the true price... $50 bucks...

All ads say: The logo is screwed into the radiator grille, the required screws are included.

Do I still need the bracket, or is bracket included?

Your guess is as good as mine... If it was me, I would assume that everything is included (based on the required screws are included statement) and track down the bracket if you find out otherwise.

Btw inhartwetrust, I'm located in Canada. At the time of my order, I was told there might be a delay for the HUD as well, so I chose not to get it (feels gimmicky imo). I think that played the biggest role in your case.

Spud, let me know if you find a good set of winter tires/rims. I told my sales guy to throw in a set of winter tires, so hopefully he pulls through. Where are you located btw?

Coch, that color and the saddle brown interior is beautiful. Congrats man, the anxiety continues to build haha.

Me 3. I'll be having my dealer install winter tires before I even drive off the lot.

Trying to decide if I should just let my AMG 19s be my winter wheels and buy new summer wheels once the weather breaks in 2017 or not?

Well...a bit excited...my coupe is due for 8/3D build now which hopefully means it will be built on its way by the end of next week...are the C43s being built in Bremen or in Alabama for the US market?

Hmmm.. That's a good idea as well. I want to get a pair of black rims as I feel that will look best with the selenite grey exterior. Now you've got me thinking...

That's a heck of an idea, not sure why I didn't think of that Lol, saves me from having to buy rims right away, need to get a wrap done so can put the money there instead!
