Rohana RFX5

Tires would be Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+. Stock ride height. Seems like the tires would be stretched out given same stock width on a wider wheel? This is the "optimal" fitment that the vendor is suggesting though.
get a new vendor. This is a whack suggestion. front will poke at stock height - rear is downsizing tire for no reason - and insanely stretched - and not nearly as aggressive as the front. this would straight up look terrible lol

thanks alexasa. I thought the same thing. They supposedly consulted with Rohana too. Guess I should have mentioned my car is a C450, So those are stock tire widths for me. Do you have a recommendation for this wheel and tire combo? Looks like offset options are +25, +42, or +47. May be other offset options available, but not sure.

offset means nothing without width stated. C450 stock tire sizes - for 19's - is 225/40/19 and 255/35/19.

Sorry, guess I should further clarify that I am on the stock 18" wheels. My stock tires are 225/45/18 and 245/40/18. I was seeking advice on a 19" setup to replace my 18" stock setup. I stated the widths that I was looking to work with. 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear. I was looking for advice on what offset and tire sizes would fit best for these wheels.

Would ET35 9.5x19 in the rear be too aggressive?

I think that’s right at the edge and maybe just over. Perhaps with lowering it will be okay?

Way more than I intended to spend on wheels, but it is what it is...and hopefully they hold up better than the ****ty AMG cast ones did.
90 day nationwide back order on these from Vorsteiner, so, not driving my damn car for the next 3 months given the front passenger side wheel has cracked on the POS AMG alloys for the second time

I don't plan on lowering wife's car but that ET41 looks really good. I think 35 will just poke out and look stupid. I might need to look for ET45 then

What is the highest offset we can put on a 8.5" wheel? I assume on 9.5" would be around the low 40s

From alexasa’s invaluable knowledge on this topic, and looking at his car, and from my own extensive research, I would say the highest (lowest) you should go is ET30 for a 8.5” rim in front and around ET41 for a 9.5” rim on the rear. Largely depends if you’re lowered or not, and if it’s a sedan or coupe.

Don’t plan on lowering. I found a set of verde p40 style. Front is +30 but option of +36 or +48 for rear at 9.5

+48 is a better fit than the +36.

48 rear but technically 38 with 10mm spacer

30 offset front

Here is my wifes car. I think it looks good with 38mm rear offset since it has 10mm rear. I really don’t want to run spacers if I don’t have too

This was without rear 10mm spacers. You can see it’s tucked in

Well on a 2019 with 19" twin 5 spoke wheels, I can confirm that 12mm front/15mm rear is optimal stock height.

15mm front and 20mm rear had too much poke for not being lowered. I tend to run super aggressive stance on my cars as well. I could tell this would be the perfect setup if I lowered an inch.

At stock height, the bottom of the car curves inwards too much, making it feel like the bottom of the tires stick out too far, while the fender is not close to being filled.

stretching tires will have a drastic impact on fitment. Lowering has impact on fitment.

it's really hard to recommend any one thing specifically without understanding preference and goals.

What is considered stretch on stock tires? I assume 8+ front and 9+ rears?

that's poking at 38 and you want to run 2mm more aggressive. 36 pokes on the coupe too (as seen above). i'm not personally a fan of stretched tires at stock ride height. Just doesn't make sense to me.

the rear fenders are a bit odd on this car - no doubt. they have a decent amount of flexibility in terms of fitment.

non lowered cars should be shooting for fitment similar to OP - imo - i understand if you have a different preference

yeah - as soon as you try putting a 225 on a 8.5 and a 255 on a 9.5.

225 on 8 and 255 on 9 is not. but again this is subjective. people squeeze very narrow tires on very wide wheels.

Yes I might upgrade on width with tires.

I'm going to do the opposite, narrower wheels with broader tires.

I'm shooting for 235 on 8 and 265 on 9. After all, the CLS and E class on 20" are running 245 on 8 and 275 on 9.

i love a meaty set-up. i was running 245 on eight and 275 on 9.5 but wasn't a fan of the extra rolling diameter.

OP is running exactly that - btw..

What about the extra rolling diameter did you not like? In my mind, I'm actually considering on trying that, but I will take any advice before I actually do anything stupid.
