C450 with H&R lowering springs and 15/17.5 rear spacers. Rides super smooth and looks amazing. also has a JB4 tune and intakes. A beast on the streets.
I have 2018 C43 with OEM 19" wheels. It comes with Pirelli run flats in front 225 /40 R19 and rear is 255 /35 R19. I already had a blowout on RF tire after hitting a pothole on freeway. My complaint with this car is ride is too stiff. It has the performance seats too. I'm thinking of getting regular tires such as the Pirellie CINTURATO STRADA SPORT AS or Michelin - Pilot Sport A/S 3+. I want to get the most comfortable tires. Can I go with a thicker sidewall such as front 225 /45 and rear 255 /40 without modification? The tires will increase diameter from 26.1" to 27" and sidewall from 3.5" to 4". What is the maximum that I can go without any modification such as front 235 /45? I don't want it to rub against any parts and effect the handling too much. Thanks.

You absolutely should get regular tires, part of the reason why it's so stiff is because of your run flats. You will notice a significant difference when you go to regular tires. Get the A/S 3+ if you want all season.
Do some research on how tire fitments work. Reading through this thread I can't believe how many people want to spend thousands on wheels and aren't really keen on how wheel offsets and tire sizes work and are willing to trust random internet people on big wheel purchases. People like "Hey..figure this out for me". lol. Man YouTube and google, it's easy. Get smart on this stuff it can save you a lot of money and you'll be able to explain how you modded your car too when someone asks you.
Go measure the gaps that you have in the front and back. Jack it up yourself or take it somewhere. This is easy since you aren't getting a different wheel. Take a picture of it so you have it. Notice some people in this thread posted pictures of how much gap they had between their tire and their suspension? Measure what you have now and compare. I wouldn't spend any money until you measure it for yourself.
Judging from your post your main complaint is the comfort. If that's the case then go for a wider tire. Look at this website https://tiresize.com/calculator/ and compare the size difference from a 225/40R19 (stock front) to a 235/40R19. There is a .4" width difference so you are going to need an additional .2" inside for a good fit. You obviously know that the handling will be affected by a bigger tire...how much bigger do you want to go? "I don't want it to rub against any parts and effect the handling too much"....this is really subjective and personal preference, pick your poison.
Personally I like to go with a tire that is pretty close to an exact fit for the wheel that I am getting. It's cheaper, better handling, technically better gas mileage. I have 8.5" and 9.5" wheels with 235/40 R 19 and 265/35 R 19 in Michelin PS4S. I think that is pretty much the chalk for 19s staggered.
225/40 R19 and 255/35 R19 is perfect for the stock setup if you ask me, just not in a run flat. If I were you I wouldn't rage out and go for a huge tire and a drastic change because you want more comfort...once you experience how much better the car is on a standard tire vs. a run flat you'll see.
I've read through most of the thread and think I have a pretty decent understanding of what will and won't work, but still good to get a second opinion on this.
Will this fitment work on a C450 on H&R springs?
Vorsteiner VFF-101
front: 19x8.5 +45 (gonna use a 15mm spacer to bring to +30), 225/40/19
rear: 19x9.5 +46 (possibly using a 5mm), 255/35/19
in the country where I live it is allowed max 235/30/20 front and max 265/30/20 and not 275/30/20 at the back, this would cause problems for the 4 wheel drive.
Normally I would take a tire of 225 and 265 would be ideal for 4 wheel drive
the rim at the front is 8.5 y, should I take a 235 ?
I ended up going with Rotiform OZR 19x8.5 et45 with 15mm spacers all around. With 245/35/19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S all around as well. I'm lowered on H&R lower springs. Sorry for the dirty pictures, it was raining when I decided to take fitment pictures.

Finally got my MSW 30 by OZ Racing on the car. It took some time for the factory to have the 7,5” narrow (to be 19”) front rims manufactured in current Covid situation.
So I have stock measurements for both rims and tires. No spacers, no modifications. I don’t understand how you guys can go for 8,5” wide in front without rim poke out and risk of touching the fender
hello there. New to the forum and purchased a 2016 c450 amg with the 19 inch wheel option. Bought some vossen hf-2 wheels in this spec.
19x8.5 et 30 front
19x9.5 et 45 rear
Also purchased toyo proxes sport in these specs.
Front 235/40 R19xl 96y
Rear 265/35 R19xl 98y
Just had fountain tire tell me these do not fit and that they rub on the inside and poke out pass fender.

If wheel spacers are needed which is my best option for this set up i purchased.

Front is fine. Rear is really at the edge. May or may not rub depending on the tire brand and side wall shape.

The rears should be fine. They’re probably just worried about the fronts, though I don’t see why they think it would rub and poke. I have the same wheel spec for the fronts with WIDER tires and they don’t rub inside nor poke out... one way to find out... have them install it and see.

im starting to think that the guy testing them out didnt realize that this car is staggered setup and tried my rear wheel on rhe front. Haha
also with your set up did you require spacers at all?

I’d really be worried if my tire guy, after all these years this model has been out still doesn’t know this car has a staggered setup, hahaha!
My wheels are custom so I was able to have the exact offsets I wanted front and rear. 19x8.5 +30 f, 255/35 19f and 19x10 +55 r, 295/30 19r.

damn if you managed to fit those specs with a set up that extreme im wondeeing how mine doesnt fit haha. You using spacers at all and is your clearance very minimal on everything? No rubbing at all up front or on the rear?
