So after reading this entire thread.... This is what I've come up with.. combined with using the wheel calculator, as well as my own findings with spacers:
W205 Facelift with 19" twin spoke -- Front 19x7.5 +33, Rear 19x8.5 +52 STOCK
When stock height, you can add H&R 12mm spacers up front and 15mm rear for a more aggressive look without poke. This results in a +21 Front and +37 Rear offset.
When lowered, you can push the spacers to 15mm up front and 20mm rear for an ultra flush look. Going this wide not lowered will protrude beyond the fenders. The resulting offset +18 for the front and +32 in the rear. I THINK I hear some rubbing noises over hard bumps, but I haven't figured out which corner.. Mind you I am slammed on H&R VTF. The car needs to be raised about a half inch or so, all the way around.
Now, I've followed the recommendations in this thread and have ordered wheels 19x8.5 +30 for the front and 19x9.5 +45 in the rear. This actually gives me about the same fitment as my setup with the stock wheels (maybe about a 1mm more poke in the front), just with a wider wheel overall (watch out control arm!)
When looking at tires... the answers in this thread become less obvious, as to what will fit with these wheels.
Stock tires are 225/40/19 Front and 255/35/19 Rear.
Plus 1: 235/40/19 is 1.19% taller than the stock 225 (a bit over 1/8"). For the rear 265/35/19 is 1.05% taller than stock 255. Not a bad combo since this is about 1%.
Plus 2: 245/35/19 is 1.3% smaller than stock 225 in diameter. I originally tried 275 in width.. you either end up with 2% over or 2% under.. 285/30/19 was a better ratio, only being 1.15% smaller, similar to the front in this example.
Plus 3: Only one member has run this wide @mo11 .... 255/35/19 up front. This is only .23% smaller than the stock 225. The matching rear is 295/30/19, also with a .23% diameter difference than stock. The only bad thing here is that this setup seems extremely wide and most likely would rub in the rear (the tire being 1.6" wider overall, so at least .75" more aggressive than stock on each side of the wheel. The way around this was to use a 50 or 55 offset wheel, to give the additional clearance from the fender (sucking the wheels in towards the center of the car).
I believe it is safe to say that my Plus 1 option is the way to go with this without rubbing. I'd love to Plus 3, but I don't think that's a reality.

the car simply doesn't need that much width - even tuned. I love a fat tire set-up but at some point you are just adding rolling resistance, cost and weight.
the 235/265 set-up also gives a very similar stretch front and rear. mo11 is also on H&R springs which keep the front pretty high.

@alexasa , I have since switched to h&r vtf springs up front, but had to keep the h&r sport springs in the rear. The problem being the rear h&r vtf at its highest setting was still too low and I really just wanted to get the fronts to dip a little bit to avoid rake.
The rub is more on the front now too but only if youre not careful with dips on the road. Even with 3 people in the car, Ive never had issues with rubbing except on dips. I can turn the wheel lock to lock, drive on slopes and it doesnt rub. I dont have issues in the rear... it can eat a lot of tire!
Im not tuned, engine and trans are bone stock. The only thing I noticed is it takes a lot more to activate the traction control light on the dash whether or not I have it on or sport mode, wet or dry.

awesome! pictures?
Even I rub on the front but facelift fenders have a slightly different roll/design
how high did they go? Im looking for about a 1 finger gap
fender to floor maybe 26 to 26.5
The rears didnt have a gap at all... it was either that, or LOWER than that. Sorry, no measurements were taken at that time. The minute the car was off the lift I knew it was too low and wouldnt work for me. However, the heights right now are 25.5 f, and 26 r.
Whats puzzling are the front VTF springs can actually still be adjusted higher or lower. Had the rear vtf spring sleeve been 1/2 longer, Id probably even try 10.5 rims and 305s back there.

interesting thanks. I think Im going to go 26 looks perfect on your car. Lol hmm guess we will see next week when I have them raise the car.. would prefer not to be slammed, but might have to go 0 gap. Right now Im tucking in the rear.. really bad reverse rake. Its a bit lower now, but this is when it first was installed.
KW is king here. So much adjustability. You can almost have the car at stock ride height in the front and rear.
T
This is about 3/4 way down
Damn it... I knew I shouldve gone with KW! Ill probably sell my vtf and sport springs and get that... but, I have to go on vacation first... hahaha! Besides, Im not driving around much anyways...
So, are you sure that at its highest setting its close to stock height?

I'd imagine it's a very minor 20mm drop over stock at the top of the collar

you can go a lot higher. I settled on 26 1/4 rear, 26 front fender to floor.. 26.5 is definitely too high, around a 1 drop I think. I have about a 1 finger gap with this setting. Might go down just a tad to 26
the sleeves can be twisted enough but it gets sketchy if you go up too much more than this, because the rear thread engagement becomes much less.
Hi, quick question.
I had a slow leak in my front left tyre of my C43 which was caused by a cracked wheel. if it can't be repaired, i dont feel like paying $1600AUD for an OEM wheel.
There's a mob that sells used wheels. they have these C250 wheels for sale. I don't want to go wider aftermarket wheels, as spacers are highly illegal where i live (Sydney), and I have no idea about offsets.
8.5 wide wheel with a 30 offset is probably the limit for the front. Its flush and clears the inner control arm.
Rear:
9.5 with a 45 offset is not quite as aggressive. I am thinking a 40-42 offset might have been better. Or stepping up to a 10 wide with a 50-55 offset.
overall I think the fitment looks good. I just need to dial in the height a bit more (probably drop the front to match the rear drop)
Looks good!! Are you running 235/40 front and 265/35 rears? I just ordered some HF5's (19x8.5 +30 Front and 19x9.5 +45 Rears) and a set of PS4S in 235/40 front and 265/35 and trying to visualize how it'll all look.

Looks great! I found the same in the rear. People were recommending +50 offset on a 10 rear rim so thats what I ordered. There was still a ton of room so I added a 5mm spacer to bring the final rear offset to +45. With a 9.5 rim, +40 offset would be ideal.
Pic for reference. 20x10 +45 with 275/30/20 PS4S in the rear.

yeah I am thinking the same, I think I could have went 10 with a +45 for flush fitment. Tires would have a tiny bit of stretch with my current size (265), but the 1/4 would fill out the fender.
or add the 5mm to make it a 40 offset.
I dont want to use spacers on these, so I will probably pass lol.
so the next person who plans to buy wheels,
19 or 20 x 8.5 et30 is your front wheel
rear wheel options:
19 or 20 x 9.5 et45 conservative fitment
19 or 20 x 9.5 et40 flush fitment
19 or 20 x 10 et55 very conservative fitment (may need for wide tires)
19 or 20 x 10 et50 conservative fitment
19 or 20 x 10 et45 flush fitment
