Looks great! I found the same in the rear. People were recommending +50 offset on a 10” rear rim so that’s what I ordered. There was still a ton of room so I added a 5mm spacer to bring the final rear offset to +45. With a 9.5” rim, +40 offset would be ideal.

actually, I was thinking, maybe it’s because we are running without a rear camber kit? Potentially if camber was correct, it might actually be flush…
I personally see no benefit in getting a camber kit for our cars. Inner tire wear is more impacted by toe than camber, so it would be more a visual difference than anything else. I’d rather do a 10” rim with lower offset to maximize concave rim face.

i agree. I was surprised I got any concavity at all out of these.

my previous car had a fitment that was absolutely flush front and back, no camber kit.

FWIW, I’m now running 20x10 +40 in the rear (275/30/20 PS4S tires) and while aggressive, the tires still tuck (barely) inside the inner fender. With a 9.5” rim, the offset could be as low as +35, but +40 would be ideal IMO.
Recently changed the setup. This is a City survival setup, NYC metro.
History :
OE RFT a bad memory-wore them out, should have sold ASAP-had to have wheels straightened at 25k.
Replaced with Michelins A/S 4, vast improvement-
Busted a wheel anyway, replaced at dealer. Price for quality sorely lacking.
Ran Michelins down to the bars.
Replaced wheels with BBS, $295 each at Tire Rack. TUV approval for w205. Flow Formed, $295 each.
et30 front, et 45 rear. 18 inches x 8. Rack will say you need 30 all round, but this matches the OE wheels pretty close. (33/49). No spacers.
After the Michelins, which I liked, I decided on Conti DWS, in a 235/45 square. The OE 225 size is overpowered by the car's power and weight, the bigger size definitely helps...245/45 prob won't fit tho......and sidewalls, anything less than a 45/50 sidewall is ruff here in New Yawk. I didn't see any reason to go with the staggered fitment once the wheels were 8 inches, 235 is ideal for the width. I alternate between DWS and A/S 4, some cars like one or the other better. The slightly softer DWS meshs well with the stiff suspension, but doesn't take any feel away, so I think the DWS is better for the C43, at least at the outset.
The OE wheel/tire setup just mystifys me. Hard tires, poor ride, soft wheels, drastic cost. I'm glad the part of the car Benz screwed up is easy to replace at least, and I think this will be the final configuration....
I'm having 2017 C43 Sedan and planning to swap wheels from stock 18" to some aftermarket 19".
New Setup:
Front – 19×8.5 ET45
Rear – 19×9.5 ET50
Michelin PS4 235/40 (front) & 265/35 (rear)
Should I use 15mm spacers fronts and optionally add 5mm to rear? Car is not lowered, but I'm planning to lower it.
(12/5 f/r non lowered) and (lowered 15/10 or even the 12) that you had on front. otherwise you're good. 12mm front could end up not being enough depending on specific brand of tire you go with. That's how different tires within the same spec can be. 8.5 et30 looks bad at stock height IMO but maybe not worth the risk of rubbing with the 12's.
but et38 9.5 rear is what I run lowered and it's still got some play.

- 19x9.5 ET48
Which complicates things a bit imo... I would need to use 8mm spacers on both f/r and from I've seen our cars are not working great with those thinner spacers. On the other side adding 10mm, might make the fit too aggressive - especially front with ET28...

19x8.5et32 w/ 255's has been seen to fit. a 5mm spacer could work but you'd run the risk of it not working. I personally would not do that with a 10mm spacer unless your lowered and run a slightly stretched tire. 5mm is fine. anything between 5 and 9 is a problem because not enough hub to center the wheel, etc.

I am sort of between a CLA 45 and C45 moving forward. Pricing on the pure AMG stuff just stinks and with availability so poor it's going to be hard to snag a deal at lease end. Residuals have changed dramatically since the beginning of the year on the CLA 45. Really curious as to what exactly they are going to release for this C45. probably 35 variant 4 cylinder with twin/triple charging like some of the 53 models?

I am currently leaning towards 245/35/19 front and 255/35/19 rear. will this work? this puts the overall diameter just about the same as the stock sizes without being taller like the 235/40 and 265/35 setup.

taller is better than shorter, always. you're increasing fender gap, reducing ride quality, etc. when going to shorter tire and you'd be reducing front and keeping rear the same. The typical sizes referenced are used for a reason and I'd recommend them still over your sizes.

I can't speak to why Brabus has those sizes listed, but as per many posts in this thread and the experience of many members, an 8.5" wide rim in the front needs to be +30 offset. Anything more and you risk touching the inner control arm. Anything less and you will rub the inner fender.
As for the rear, a 9.5" rim with +50 offset will sit way inside the inner fender and visually won't look good. +35 offset is as aggressive as you can go (sits very flush) with +40ish being optimal.
So I've got my new 19" wheels and while waiting for the H&R springs and new tyres I've decided to test with the front.
Spec is: 19 / 8,5 / ET32
I'm a bit worried with the spacing between the wheel and the control arm (11/10 design). Looking at the picture, doesn't really seem I would be able to get away with 235 tyre without adding an extra 3mm spacer (with final ET29)?
You *should* be OK with a 235 tire as it will be a bit stretched on a 8.5” wide rim. FWIW, that’s what I’m running with +31 offset and clear the control arm, barely.
