2016 C450 AMG turbo upgrade project








Hope this continues to find you all safe and healthy. Been busy as s__ but worked out since waiting for the FX-180 HPFP, custom LPFP and fuel rail to come in.
Special thanks to Dan at Martintuning.com for all the help with getting these done. Very easy to work with and considering the scope was done fairly quickly.
Next step is to find a fair priced shipping company (closed trailer) to ship from Dallas to San Francisco for the full engine pull and build.
Anybody have any recommendations based on personal positive experience with specific car transport companies?

Been a minute but here is an update on the project.
Finally glad to see things moving again, car has been shipped and taken delivery by my man Cesario and his team at SVG, Silicon Valley Garage.
Motor should be pulled next week after initial dynojet dyno and engine build begins.
Also decided to take it in the direction (apologies to the purists, couldn’t resist) with custom carbon fiber trunk and interior work as well as a full wide body kit and wrap.
Thinking about going with the Pearl AMG red.
Hopefully the build keeps moving forward to get this out to AMR for turbo installs/Meth/Tune upgrades and TCU tune.

Just an update, so SVG has been doing well and has expanded to a much larger shop so things have been moving along as expected for a “no rush” project.
That said we have been looking for a
dynojet dyno similar to the one AMR in CT has so that apples can be compared to apples with the pre build dyno and post build final tuned dyno.
unfortunately where my man Cesario is at there isn’t any to be found around within a reasonable distance. What seems to be common is the Mustang Dynometer.
So before the engine is pulled decided just to get some base dyno numbers.
So the base is with the AMR Stage 2 bench tune, Weistec DP’s, VTA’s, and AWE track exhaust on 93 octane pump on Sport+ mode.
Pre-build dyno
When all is said and done this will be compared to dyno numbers with the upgraded turbos, forged Pauter rods and low compression JE pistons, full upgraded fuel system, Wagner intercooler, upgraded HP and LP pumps, Water/Meth, AMR custom tune and TCU tune running on E85.

Just an update and finally a milestone in this project. My man Cesario over at SVG just sent over some pics!
Engine and assembly is dropped and engine build is on its way.
Pistons, rods, head bolts, Wagner cooler, HPFP, LPFP, Fuel rail is on its way to getting put in.
I’ll keep posting as I get update.
As planned once all this is done plus a new custom CF trunk lid it finally is going to make its trip up to CT to AMR for TCU upgrade/tune, install turbos, Meth kit, and custom dyno tuning.

yeah just hoping those @TurboKits.com turbos that have been custom PTP heat shield wrapped are still ok sitting over with Matthew at AMR now for the last year or so.??




I did respond to your all’s thread but figure I’d post here as well.
Since the whole assembly is dropped wanted to proceed with the front and rear big brake upgrade.
Once again I wanted to see if you all could guide me through this process on what all I need/ could buy and send over to SVG to get this rolling.
