I’ve had BMS and now MST for my 2016 C450 and this MST feels a bit stronger than the BMS and no matter what you read on here about the enclosure boxes on these getting hot and reproducing hot air into the engine is all BS. The only time they would get hot is when you’re stopped, but all of them do because there’s no air being forced through. But once you’re moving, they cool right back down again and start running cooler air back through, where the BMS is sucking engine temp air or higher through at all times. Plus you don’t have to cut your engine cover for it to fit.

Just my two cents man. Good luck!

Yeah I did the install and it took me about 15-20 mins to put on. It sounds great too. It’s a different box than what you’ll see on some websites. The new has some openings to disperse heat so it doesn’t “trap” the heat in the box like everyone says. Plus it sounds much better too. I’ll post some pics tomorrow

I did the same MST intake.
installed myself. Just make sure the plus are in the right way or you’ll get a CEL. Unfortunately you can put these in backwards.

I drove it today and it seems to have much more response on the pedal and it takes off through the gears much better than ever before. It sounds awesome too. I need to get two diverter valves for it and a pedal tune and it should be dialed in pretty good. The exhaust even sounds better on the highway. I’d take this over the BMS all day

I’m glad you like it. It’s define my an acquired taste that I can’t appreciate. At least it found a good home.

Still doesn't have the turbo inlets you'd need to actually make more power.

Pretty much just a silicone tube no? I'm surprised someone hasn't made inlet pipes for our car.

It's an alum pipe with a CNC machined flange. I know you guys like the concept of the enclosed airboxes but when you really evaluate the data as we did you'll find you're wasting your time with them.

They’re not silicone tubes. The inlet pipe is completely replaced, unlike MST. MST uses a short silicone pipe.

Your right, now that I think about it, the one I swapped on my MS6 was an aluminum tube. Still a turbo inlet pipes seams like it would be an easy thing to produce

I have the same one but I’ve been running them without the top covers. I like seeing the filters and all the red

Anyone have the MST installed on a 2020 43?
im having a hard time getting a straight answer directly from MST. (Seems to be a language barrier and substantial time zone difference leading to lengthy response times)

confirmed, it fits 2020. i'm "On the fence" between this and the BMS. BMS piping and larger filter seem like they would perform better.
I feel like MST is more like a "Short RAM" intake VS BMS being more of a CAI

For what it’s worth, I was on the fence for both brands as well, so I bought both. That’s the best way to find out which you like better.
