Bluetooth and contacts
Hey my c43 is making me lose hair! I have a galaxy s23 ultra and it won't show contacts. Won't even let me import them. It won't even give me a contacts or messages option. My 2013 c350 and 2015 ml250 works just fine.

If you have to, you could try resetting COMAND completely. Factory reset it in settings.

Obviously the download contacts didn't work as well? Phone didn't prompt anything? What error message appears on the COMMAND screen when you select download contacts?

Try going to safe mode on the phone, hold the power button or bring up the power menu then hold the on screen power icon, not the physical power button, then it says safe mode, tap it to reboot to safe mode.
Once done, again unpair the phone from the vehicle then go to to phone and unpair it on the phone side. Try pairing it again.

Hmmm, that's a tricky one. Next thing to try: Reset Network settings (or called Reset Wifi and Bluetooth settings) in the phone. Keep in mind, this will delete all paired devices and wifi network settings (including all networks saved). What is the version of the software, any pending software updates you have yet to install? Did you confirm the Contacts app has all permissions? Try clearing the cache, don't clear the storage though.
Did you try a different phone, like an old phone and see if it is loading contacts on the car to confirm it is the car or the phone's problem?

I just tried unpairing and pairing on the car, I have a 2017 though but the moment I confirm the passkey the phone prompted if I wanted to allow SMS access then when I click yes it prompted when I wanted to allow Contacts access. So I am not sure why it doesn't work for you, I do have a S22U running latest software updates oneui 6.1 android 14 as a media consumption device but I have other phones without an issue either.

If you want to update that, you will need to either go to a dealership or get a device capable of using XENTRY.
I guess alternatively buy a wireless smart phone integration box and just use android auto and forget about Bluetooth, then you can access your contacts there and also make phone calls there.

I have zero experience with this vendor but, might be an alternative solution: https://mbworld.org/forums/c450-c43-...roid-auto.html

Chances are the Comand system is too old for an S23 ultra.
I suggest taking it to a shop that deals with Benz electronics/coding and see if they can update your software. Otherwise, downgrade your phone or upgrade your car lol
edit: The original Comand system is over 20 years old and the current one in your generation of C43 is 10 years old.

I haven't tried this yet https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ml#post8692624
and not sure if it works on the W205 but post your COMAND version down to the revision number and we (forum members) will cross check with our cars and see if there is a newer version you could install that might fix the issue.

This is for the facelift W205 but process might be same in terms of going to the dealer menu (DO NOT RESET anything here, it will remove everything in your car, it is NOT the same as resetting COMAND in a normal way, it will delete all the calibrations and options like 360 camera etc. to a bare bone car): https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...3s-2019-a.html
