Nitrous Oxide Systems (NOS)

I am thinking of adding NOS to my C63 any thoughts?

My friend has an impala with NOS and it's crazy.

sure why not? just throw a 200 shot kit on it and call it a day...



i think you should call some vendors, like ASR? i think they did a n2o kit on a CLS63?

i think you need to do some research and think about it before you ask this question. it's not like your driving a 98 civic and can run 100 shot kit until the motor blows then go get a new one for $500.

Bad idea IMO. Unless a "known tuner" has a "well proven kit" made for the 6.2L (63 series) engine, then maybe, just maybe.

Have you guys had cars with nitrous???
I have had three, including my Viper GTS. Nitrous is kind of a pain w/filling bottles and all but the results if tuned are awesome and relatively safe., I was actually hoping someone would put the spray on a 63 motor. I think it would work great as long as the computer did not mind it.

when i was 16-18 i had an integra and a civic that i ran n2o on. very easy to make money off mustangs and camaro's. i would run about a 125 shot until the motor blew, by that time i would have made about $2000 so i go buy another from the pick n pull and do it all over.

and see if he can beef up and cryo your input and output shaftson the 722.9 and build a custom converter.Gas will snap that trans right off the line.Your Mb warranty would not look kindly on the shattered results.
might as well have the DS custom built and a loop installed.

I am not a tuner but I do have a friend who deals with tuning.

In a near future I might leave my C63 for Track only but I would add upgrades and tuning to it.

Where do you people come up with such nonsense?

As Jason said with a proper tune it's safe and fun. From my experience too many people just slap nitrous on without proper tuning and /or spray too much.

I'm resurrecting this thread. I'm thinking about using a quality local tuner to put a modest, well designed, custom NOS kit on my C63. I'd use it sparingly, but sure think it would be fun. The process would be iterative dyno runs, ECU checks, & all the appropriate precautions to do this right. I'd go with the lowest boost which I believe is about 75 - 100 or so.

If I'm not going through 10 tanks a week, use it sparingly, have a quality tuner do the install, and make sure it's on the low end of the scale, why would this not be a problem?

Ok I'm not against it...but why not just Tune? I seen track results from MHP with mid 11s and 120 mph That car isn't cheap and it is already very fast...what is your goal?

One of my friends has an E63 with stock ECU and 100 shot. He's been running it for over a year now. As long as he runs 100 octane he's ok. Not my cup of tea (spray) but the results are hard to argue with.

You are in PA..who is the tunner that is doing it? I am not agaisn't it. But it sure as hell would be fun. Mid 11's runs a C63 with just minor bolt ons like ECU, airbox and headers...I see low 11's if on spray...

DO IT! If you need help I have done it and custom NOS contoller pillars in my CLS63
oh and by the way We ( ACG & RARFINANCIAL) have the CLS63 NOS setup dialed in at last dyno 562 rwhp. on 80 shot

Not your cup of tea? when you're staring at my tail lights when you get tree'd at or first track meet up , you may just change your mind oh and even funnier than the look on your face will be the fact that I blew by you with your MHP tunning in my car LOL HELLO ANDY
Just like I did with JUICEE63 when I gave him my 18" HRE C21'S and I ran him with my show 20" Vellano wheels on a 91 no NOS tune HELLO JOSH, sorry I just had to do it..

BTW: when you tune the NO2, you want to do it on the dyno.. that way you can check your A/F, fuel pressure, timing, and adjust the nitrous jetting to get it all dialed in....
