MKB Package takes my C63 to 11.634 @ 119.77mph!!
I was fortunate enough to run in the SuperCar Shootout Saturday in Bradenton Florida. We had a blast and the car ran great!
Best run of the day was an 11.634 @ 119.77mph.

The temperature was about 65 degrees and was made at 4:34pm.
I made 14 runs and had a few in the 121mph range and one 122+mph. The car is running strong. The video of the 122mph run is on Dragtimes.com.
The MKB Package consists of shorty headers, filters, and tune. The tune is loaded here in the states and the balance of the package comes from Germany. For power they make great numbers. The car dyno'd above 440rhwp consistently. The highest was 446rwhp and 404rwtq. Thats with all the cats and stock exhaust in place. Nice work MKB.
For the runs we made in Bradenton I took the rear cats off and boy did it get loud. HOLY CRAPP! I don't recommend that. If the dyno doesn't prove more power the cats will be going right back on. Ya'll keep racing and be careful!
God Bless,
Keith
PS: Ya'll have a great Christmas holiday!
Great job
Not to steal the thread, but for the tuners on the board, do the shorty headers provide more real world performance gain than the typically posted 15 hp / 15 tq power gains the seem to offer? I understand long tube headers provide the best gains, but am curious how the performance gained vs. money spent compares on shorty vs. long tube headers if staying with stock exhaust from there back.
MKB Performance:
Stage I = 521hp ECU only $4995
Stage II - 567hp ECU, filters, stainless shorty headers with down pipes is $14,695.
Daniel Bird - 888-503-3663
Its all there guys. Merry Christmas!!
God Bless,
Keith

There is a 2 3/8" neckdown in the OEM exhaust manifolds that most certainly would be restrictive to a 380CI motor spinning at 7k, and the 4 OEM cats don't help matters either. These are issues that definitely need to be addressed for optimal performance. How much of Keith's gains are coming from the shorty's themselves I'm not sure we'll ever know, but it appears that the headers plus the secondary cat delete are helping him on the big end.
My 1/8th mile traps from MIR were on avg 1.5-2+ mph higher than his, though his 1/4 mile traps were up to 2+ mph higher than mine in some cases.
I guess another potential variable would be our tires, Keith's running Nitto DRs and I'm on MT DRs. I've had both on my C63 and between the two the MTs seem to bite better off the line and yield lower mph vs the Nittos.
Honestly if we lined them up right now the cars would be disgustingly even IMO.
Anyway, sorry to rant. Hopefully Keith can make the trek up to MIR in the spring, as I'm sure we're both going to keep modding it would be great to race side by side!

I think we would run side by side most of the time. Would be a great race!! Hope we can race together some time.
I know the MKB package was salty but the power is there and it works. No check engine lights.
The exhaust is stock except for the shorty headers and down pipes. Go to their web site and it will give you a picture of the headers.
I installed the headers and with just the headers and down pipes running the stock ECU I gained over 30rwhp.
I did remove the secondary cats for the Bradenton races but its too loud and I am putting them back on. Let me know if you have more questions. Stay safe!

1. No carbon fiber air box with the package.
2. The new stainless down pipes are 3". Directions call out to cut the front of the first cats off at the weld which is 3" and weld on the flanged new down pipes. This eliminates the smaller stock down pipes Andy was talking about and opens them up to 3". The rear of the cats are already larger so this greatly improves the flow. All four of the cats stay in place. Hope this answers your questions.

Jrcart--I live very close to where most of the turbo Vipers are being built these days. The cars are just simply unbelievable. I built my mustang to run with them, but im about 500rwhp short at the moment. Most of them are doing 1000rwhp on pump gas and 1500+rwhp on race gas. Totally streetable and pretty reliable when built by the right shop.
