Aftermarket wheel Thread.
In the next 2 weeks the car will be done, I was up last night doing some measuring etc
my beast's about to get some wide hips. Wanted to ensure the stance was perfect before sending her off to get some fender work done.
PS: It was always hard for me to photograph really how much concavity those HRE's have out back. This picture gives you a good idea. They are sitting on the floor
Appreciate you're feedback, the tires are not stretched at all, I am running a 225 Section width upfront on a 8.5 wide wheel and 255 width out back with a 9.5 wide wheel.
These are not stretched by any means. If I were running a 225 or 235 or a 9.5 then yes that would be a stretch.
Remember MB offers a 255 section width tire with their optional 19's for the C63. So while i agree that more mechanical grip via wider tires are better for our cars. I have to wonder why MB felt 255's were enough to be the OE sizing?
Mind you have I ran these same tire sizes last season without any issues on my HRE's.
But you are correct, I do fully believe the LM are an all time classic wheel. I had to do them justice on the C63.
thank you sir for pushing the boundaries.
He told me normally no as the information is engraved in the rims but in Europe things are a bit more difficult as everything needs be documented. Does anyone know how to get an operating license if such exist?
Info I have:
18x8j et45
Bolt circle 5x112
JWL and VIA stamps
Load per rim

front 2 wheels 19x9" ET40 5x112 - semi concave
rear 2 wheels 19x9.5" ET42 5x112 - deep concave
I was looking for 19x8.5 front and ET45-50 rear. not entirely sure if these will work.
thanks!

The rear will be aggressive, you would need +50 if you want to run 265/30/19 or 275/30/19. +42 will work if you stretch a 245/30/19 or you could try 255/30/19 but it might be tight fit.
I'm running 255/30/19 on my oem with spacers... final ET is +44 on 19x9, so I'm not sure if 19x9.5 +42 will be causing rubbing.

I would go 19's though, 18x8 is weak.

The rims are forgestar f14s. maybe ill keep looking around for a higher offset for rear. i dont wanna pull fender if possible and 245 tires are too thin for rear imo. id like 265 at the least. ideally wanted to lower the car aswell.
Rears are; 19x9.5 +45 Offset 5x112 bolt pattern
found some bbs lm wheels with this offset. 8.5 might not be as flush in front but i can always add a tiny spacer if i need. rears sound like i could run 265s maybe?
i remember having michelin supersport on my 350z and i got a slashed tire...replaced them with toyo proxes 4 cheaped out a bit...and i thought i had a constant flat tire.
I had HRE P40 in 19x9.5 +50 with 265/30 V12 & it was tight fit lowered, but no rubbing. With 275/30 V12, I was rubbing on the passenger rear.
cant pickup wheels til im back from miami so gotta wait a couple weeks for pics but i really appreciate the feedback and quick replies
jeffdl can you post a pic of your setup?
